Open Horizon Rules

:warning: Defying any rule below is subject to consequences that the enforcer of the rule (an admin or moderator for the game) deems necessary for the offense unless clearly stated otherwise. :warning:

Last updated on September 30th, 2024. Rules will be updated whenever deemed necessary.

1. General Conduct

  • Respect Roblox’s Official Terms and Rules: Any player who breaks any official Roblox ToS or any other official Roblox site wide rule (be in game or on the Roblox website) will be deemed as requiring moderation action.
  • Hacking, Exploiting, and Use of Third Party Tools: Just like any game, anyone caught using any kind of exploit, hack, or any other kind of back end third party tool will be moderated accordingly. The only exceptions to this rule are FPS unlockers and purely cosmetic changes to the client that do not affect how the player or other players play Open Horizon.
  • Player Etiquette: As a player of Open Horizon, you are expected to not cause issue to anyone outside the game. Anyone caught causing anyone intentional harm outside Open Horizon runs the risk of being moderated in Open Horizon.

2. Game Related Offenses

  • Intentional Use of Unintentional Game Related Bugs or Glitches: If a player is caught purposefully using an unintentional bug or glitch, they run the risk of having moderation action taken on them. If you find any bug or glitch in Open Horizon, please message @AptAlbatross via Roblox messages or DevForum messages.
  • Inappropriate Use of the Character Model: By nature of Open Horizon being a first person VR game, it is possible to physically manipulate the Character Model in various ways that may be deemed as unsavory or inappropriate. For a lot of these cases, the Open Horizon character model has safe guards in place to reduce the amount of these unsavory use cases. Anything from obvious incorrect body measurements to inappropriate character interactions between players are able to be moderated.
  • Inappropriate Avatars / Avatar Workarounds: Avatars that are visually inappropriate according to Roblox’s ToS are subject to moderation. Same with avatars that purposefully work around the built in restrictions in the game to prevent certain avatar elements from being shown or used in game. (Layered clothing, different body packages, heads that are not traditionally shaped.)
