Hello there, we are Cyberbyte Studios, a startup group on roblox. We are currently developing a game called Detroit City, and we need a builder to make a fun to play almost similar copy of the real Detroit.
About The Job
We are looking for someone with past experience in making buildings/houses and terrain, the map will be on terrain. We are going for a Mad-city like building style (Smooth plastic for mostly all textures, and simple), combined with The streets. Something like this:
Besides being able to build in that style, you must also:
- Be easy to communicate with.
- Adapt to new ideas.
- Be creative, do work on your own without help from other people.
- Be able to make a map plan based off a real city.
- Be capable of making smooth terrain, and using terrain.
Right now, our top priority is to make a plan of the map. We are expecting you to be able to do that aswell, we will be adding more content to the game in future updates after the releases, so we will need more buildings, thus you must be available to build even after the game’s release, maybe once a week.
This is what the map will need to have:
- An airport
- A KFC
- A medium sized furniture shop (preferably IKEA)
- A gun shop
- Penthouses
- 10-20 Neighbourhood houses
- Roads, highways, Ambassador bridge
- A bit of canadian side, for the looks (not inside play areea)
- Detroit landmarks (Ren center, etc.)
- A nightclub
- A gas station
- A train track
- Some wrecked houses
- A bank
Try to replicate the terrain as close to the real Detroit and it’s surroundings as possible.
1-3 Hours a day is good for us.
About the game
The game will be an open world third-person shooter, much like GTA. Players will be able to buy properties, sell properties, invest in stocks, rob buildings, buy vehicles, break into other player’s houses, fly planes, helicopters, explore the map, create gangs, fight other gangs, conquer gang territories, etc.
We are adding a level system to make players feel improvement, and try our best to make the players keep coming back.
Payment
We are paying a percentage of the game’s rev via group funds, anywhere between 20% to 40% depending on the map’s quality (If we find you inefficient or not suiting our needs after hiring you, we will remove your content from the game and remove you from the TC). Price is negotiable.
