(OPEN) My first real battlegrounds game!

Hello devs,

The game is public again! I would like some feedback for my first “real” battlegrounds game with combat and move sets. The ultimate bar isn’t quite finished yet and has no moves. You can play the game here. Let me know what you guys think of it.

The map isn’t complete either, but all characters are free to use! Without robux or gamepasses.

Great start, it’s smart to get feedback early! There’s not too much to give feedback on, but here it is:

  1. Attack animations and particles and sounds are cool!
  2. Definitely needs some kind of advanced movement system. A dash will help a lot but maybe try to go even further.
  3. Maybe a bit early, but start to think about how you’ll set yourself apart from similar games. What’s your unique value proposition?

From first impressions, the game looks good! However, there’s a bug where the abilities don’t appear in my hotbar when I first join, I have to reselect my character.


For a second, I didn’t think there were abilities :rofl:

Also, respawning won’t fix this either, it’s ONLY if you reselect the character

Thanks for the feedback! I plan for it to be less pay and more play than other battlegrounds games.
There isn’t really going to be gamepasses that give advantages like the “Early Access” gamepass from all other battlegrounds games.

Also, you said the map was a placeholder. Are some of the animations and sounds placeholders too?

Thanks for the feedback! However, the thing you mentioned isn’t a bug. I just haven’t implemented a system that remembers the character you had last.

Those are sound effects I tried using lol. But they were privated. Forgor to remove them.

EVERYTHING is pretty much copied from hbg :thinking:

How is it copied from hbg??? I made it all myself and the first character is based off of Garou from One Punch Man, not MHA.

one of the moves is literally just texas from hbg, it looks the exact same, so if you made that props for animation and I apologize but damn

I have seen the “Texas” move from heroes’ battlegrounds. The animation is completely different and slower. The move from the one punch anime is “flowing water” which is why the animation is punches in rapid succession. Of course, I changed the name to “swirling water” because I don’t want to get striked by copyright. But thanks for testing the game :slight_smile:

Srry, I’m privated the game so I can work on it.

I also added a system where it automatically equips a character when you join, as you said.

The game is open again and is playable.

The game is overall pretty good, i like the animations for Honored Wizard.

Not much feedback i can think of, maybe try upgrading the VFX on Hollow Purple, its kind of underwhelming compared to all of the other moves. You should probably change Honored Wizard’s name, it sounds a bit silly. Strongest of Today or Honored Sorcerer could work.

I know this is EXTREMELY in development but there are quite a few bugs that I’ve encountered;

  1. Why is alt the shiftlock keybind… not to mention your character would be stuck in a direction you’re facing at

  2. the backward dash is weird, I don’t know if it’s the animation but it’s buggy…

  3. When i used ‘Droplet Dance’ whilst having shiftlock, it brought the same bug for 1.
    (mouse being stuck in the center)

  4. Forward dashing has a slight delay after the animation has played, sometimes it happen and sometimes it doesn’t

  5. Water Wielder m1s doesn’t play any animations nor can i hit anything

  6. Similarly to TSB, Side-dashing and Front + Back Dashing have their own cooldown, unfortunately they both share the same cooldown which is weary…

  7. The m1s have cooldowns for some reason, using 3 m1s before a moveset does not let you m1 the dummy again for a short period amount of time

  8. There is a MASSIVE and I mean a MASSIVE delay when I try to downslam the dummy. And it is just mere difficult to even perform a combo-

  9. And lastly, I was able to perform a 98% combo which is pretty good I’d say considering that I was VERY limited to what I can do

I mean it’s cool, but why is it based on shonen animes, like the other 98% of battlegrounds games

It’s just the most popular type of anime on Roblox. It’s also my favorite.
