I don’t mean to be a jerk, but…

Whether he actually did that or not, this is unwarranted and immature. In my opinion this is not the behavior that developer forum members should be demonstrating. I understand your frustration but encouraging witch hunting and mob mentality is not cool, especially when this is, according to Roblox’s rules, a personal attack.

I agree, I actually made that before I was in RBXdev. He was trying to take credit for my work. And yes, it is not professional. I didn’t read it until now to be honest.

I don’t think it’s an okay request to make to visitors whether you’re in RBXDev or not personally.

Maybe you were less mature when you wrote it, sure - but that doesn’t make it okay.

It’s a whole backstory. . . When you’re an aspiring developer that busts their butt building entire towns for already established and popular developers, and they try to steal your work (We had a deal and he did not follow through) it’s pretty easy to get frustrated. Especially when you’re just trying to make a name for yourself. Just a thought idk.

Plagiarism is a serious problem on Roblox. There are entire pages of stolen clothing on the catalog and Roblox is not doing enough to prevent it. (correction)

cool place though :stuck_out_tongue:

If somebody stole your game, you can message roblox and they will take down the whole game…

Hey guys, I know you are all trying to be helpful, but this post was designed to show off a creation, so lets focus on that.

I really like what you’ve done here, with lighting and the quality of the build, however there are a few things that (in my opinion) didn’t work out too well.

I’ll start with my main point, outlines.

I personally really hate outlines, I believe (while sometimes it can add that needed effect) they are extremely unneeded and bring the overall quality down.

Examples:

Building with outlines

Building without outlines

Even with outlines, the game looks great and fit in with the theme/environment, however I believe that disabling the outlines would make it stand out so much more.

There were a few parts which kind of didn’t go too well together and stuck out a bit (again, in my opinion)

Examples:

Example one

Example two

Don’t get me wrong, I believe the game was extremely well made, and it looks really good! I can’t wait to see more of your work. The feedback was based on my opinion, which could be completely different from a larger audience’s.

Keep up the great work!

I liked the subtle texture usage in places, including on the slanted rooftops which made them look weathered and aged

Im a huge advocate for outlines. Although they do make the overall build look unrealistic, It makes buildings pop, which highlights intricate areas.

When designing this, I remember sitting around trying to figure out how to incorporate the textures. I finally settled on the idea to slant a lot of the roofs by increments of 45 degrees.
