OpenCloud APIs report that a player has no active restrictions, while the player is actively banned in-game.
We are encountering an issue where certain players appear to be banned from our experience despite no ban being issued by our systems.
From our investigation, this appears similar to alt-detection behavior, as the affected users are blocked from joining without any direct moderation action taken by us.
When querying the OpenCloud restrictions API, it consistently reports that the player has no active restrictions, which contradicts the in-game behavior. The issue is intermittent and does not affect all banned players.
Reproduction Steps:
- Player attempts to join the experience
- Player is blocked as if banned
- Query OpenCloud restrictions endpoint for the player
- API returns no active restrictions
Affected players have provided video recordings demonstrating failed join attempts and no ban message originating from our systems

Example of currently affected user: dadtfdxfv - Roblox
Expected behavior:
- If a player is banned (for any reason), OpenCloud should accurately reflect that restriction.
- If OpenCloud reports no active restrictions, the player should be able to join the experience.
Actual Behavior:
- Player is unable to join (appears banned)
- OpenCloud reports no active restrictions for the same player
- No ban action exists in our system logs
