I made this for my new game, what do you think? Its going to be a exploration/horror game. But an unexpected horror game.
looks interesting. It doesn’t really give horror but I’m guessing that’s what your going for!
Just a few comments~ (not that serous)
What’s going on with the grass down here? Its like… a thick triangle??
Also
The sun rays look like they are coming from one point (the yellow dot) but the sun itself looks to be bigger.
Also… because its a corner sun… it seems to flatten the image… making int feel more like the light is being shown on the picture or from the side rather than coming out from within the picture.
(this could juts be me tho)
Try including more of the sky around the sun so its in the conner, not apart of the corner, if that makes sense.
And whatever filter you used makes it look fried… Like those deep-fried images but a lot less frying. That’s the only way I can put it.
This isnt a problem per se, if you like the way it looks then have fun! It just gives of a soft-crunchy feel (crunchy from the filter, but soft from the pastels) It just feels like a odd blend of textures to me, but if you like it! keep it!
Anyways that’s really good! I think its great even if you leave it as it!
Thanks! I actually kept testing it out, making different renders, and I
made this a few hour after. This kinda fixes most of those issues ironically. What do you think?
Yea also I don’t want the player to be able to tell its a horror game when they join, I want it to seem more like an adventure/Exploration game.
as someone who actively avoids horror games, I kinda wanna know what Im getting into before I play… but as long as its in the tags, Im fine~
Also, Is it a cloud?
Yeah all the changes do address basically everything I said lol
Yea, I added some darker spots to it to seem like there is clouds…
I did redo it again, this is how it looks. some people said it was too bright, and a few other issues.
This one looks like Arizona or other canyon biomes. The bright sun and the barren rocks make the place look hot and sandy/rocky. The character is covering their eyes from the bright imposing sun, as they make their way towards the water.
I don’t know if this was your intention but it is subtly off putting that despite being near a decent sized body of water, there are no other plants other than the grass in the front. This can be a good thing since it works well with the “secret horror game” idea you have. Like “Why doesn’t this water grow plants? Why is the only vegetation this grass? The Answer may be more sinister than you would think…”(dun Dun DUN!)
I think there is a slight issue with this one as the character no longer feels apart of the scene. I think this is because of the lighting of the environment is different from the lighting of the character. Maybe try overlaying the layer with the sun and sky overtop of the person at a low transparency just to make the whole thing feel more together, if that makes sense.
Your previous renders did it better.
On this one however, I think the grass and clouds are better, and the rock formations are more clearly defined.
Thanks for your viewpoint, ill look into it. But yeah I wanted it to be off putting so its good that it feels that way!
