What do you guys think about it?
Something is making me feel strange about the GFX.
Analysis
Congratulations on not blending the background with the foreground… but what is that in the bottom right corner?
Character posing is sort of static, dull. Not entirely sure what purpose of this GFX is for, but I assume it is for a profile picture. Just like my previous:
Woah, oversized sunglasses! So real!
Suggestions
Perhaps some work with the posing and maybe additional details? It’s a suggestion after all, choose whatever you please to do.
Oh, and perhaps the details should be personalized to what represents you and anything about you?
You should edit the eyes so it doesn’t seem like you’re cross eyed.
Maybe add a blur over the background so it looks more like it’s behind the character.
Looks good so far.
Don’t, that’s what gives it character.
Jokes aside, it’s a pretty sweet image for someone who just started practicing. You masked out the character well, though i noticed some minor artifacts from a semi-transparent layer in the back.
Using Roblox screenshots will also result in some nasty aliasing on the edges, in which case i would recommend using a 3D program to render your assets instead.
The background Dosent fit it with the character. It looks- weird. Also, you character is staying still, atleast make it holding a axe or something like that.
Not sure what I should be focusing on: the avatar, or the background?
Of course, I’m not being serious – it is obvious, after all, that the foreground is what should stand out. But does it? The stars in the background are as equally bright as the character, and therefore the character is unable to stand out.
Darken the background and render the character; move your arms, give yourself a pose, give yourself flair. Make shadows and other elements of light more consistent rather than having it as a two-dimensional image.
I highly suggest adding a bigger glow around the person. Make it spread out alot more.
The background isn’t the best for the characters colour scheme, maybe a red would be better, and also a nicer position for the character rather then just at an angle, make it appeal to be waving or walking.
The character should be posing, it doesn’t look good if it’s just staticly standing there.
Try to use overlay effects and some lighting effects what makes it little better and not really simple and standard.
Maybe try changing the background.
