Opinions on these screen effects?

Made this UI some time ago.

I’m planning on repurposing some of my older creations for a unique horror game idea.

What could be improved? What additions or changes would make this better?

This screen effect looks great! It’s a nice recreation! Good job on it! How long did it take to create? Which game will it be used in?

The UI & the effects are very cool. But I can’t say the same about those trees… :grimacing:

Yeah I know

I made this game in a huge rush, and made it to just experiment with roblox features.

UI effects look nice, can I ask what atmosphere settings you modified to make your game look like that? I’m assuming it’s not just the ui

It took me a week to made it. This project wasn’t a really dedicated one, I just wanted to experiment with features.

Can you go further into detail?

Exploits Inject a local script into starter player scripts I believe. The client cannot view or thus modify anything going on in server script service. The way exploits get into the server is by taking advantage of vulnerabilities in a specific game. For example if you have a remote event that is fired by the client and when detected by the server gives the client some cash. An exploiter can fire that event with their own argument, passing through a trillion cash into the server. A server script that does not communicate with local scripts is secure. Also you never trust the client with anything, you have the server check it. So if you’re let’s say buying an item from an in game shop. The client doesn’t say to the server. “I’m buying this item”. It says “can I buy this item”.

this vhs effect is not impressive in the slightest. too many games have one already. this is about as unique as the name “john”. what would make yours stand out from literally EVERY OTHER GAME with a vhs effect?

That is what I am asking you. The unique part of this is the chromatic aberration, but that’s easy to make.

Please, what can be improved here to make it better?

And I know perfectly what you mean, it’s definitely over used.

If I use these effects, it’s for actually dramatization. Just like how vignette makes something dramatic, plus a heartbeat and violent screen shake.

I just wanted to know how it’d be better so that when I do use it, the first thoughts weren’t the ones that come from your mouth, understand?
