Optimal Pricing For An 30 Second Animated Game Trailer

So, I’ve been seeing people turn to animated trailers more and more to give their games a better look and I was thinking about getting one of my own, however, I don’t know how much to pay and I don’t want to make a post looking like an idiot for underpaying.

The Trailer

The trailer, would be a 30s long, animated, trailer. Featuring only 2 characters and a few models (5-15). The camera would only ever have to move once or twice. The effects would be very minimal except for sand effects, and some dust effects. Also some effects on the text

So, I’m wondering, given the details of the trailer, how much should I be looking to have to pay minimum and maximum ( a range) for a decent to good quality trailer.

I only have around 300 USD so I doubt I have enough so I want to know so I can start saving

Help is very much appreciated

If you’re looking for a 2D animated trailer or a 3D animated trailer is a key difference that could affect the price.

I was looking for a 3d trailer. However some scenes can be 2d.

Im pretty sure this belongs in #collaboration:recruitment

Not necessarily since I’m not hiring but rather seeking advice on a payment price for this project.

Im also pretty sure that is considered spam. Look under either 1.7 or 7.1 in the devforum rules

It’s not against the rules since I and many others have had topics like this before. However, I will look up that rule to be sure

I checked and that 7.1 rule applies to selling. Not seeking advice. Also, rule 1.7 does not exist.

Thanks for your concern though.

300 USD for 30 seconds is well enough. You don’t have to put a fixed price on your post, just say my max budget is x and min is y. Usually people would contact you if they’re interested. Prices will vary based on who you are getting the service from, just find someone with a portfolio you like and then you’re set.
