Option to require parental pin for R$ purchases

So I very recently realized that the parental pin can be used as a normal pin to protect your settings. I know most people don’t need this but as a developer it would be awesome if we could have an option in settings that makes it so that if we want to buy and maybe sell something then we need to enter the pin if it’s enabled. It would also be great if we could lock down group admin settings and trading under a pin so if anyone got into our account somehow they would be powerless to sell, buy, trade, or steal any of our money without the pin.

Another great feature to add to the panel by “Log out all sessions” would be some indication of how many devices you are logged in on and maybe have a notification option to be alerted if that number changes.

Sounds like you want 3FA. The best way to do this is to:

  1. Enable 2FA on your email that you use for roblox 2FA
  2. Unique passwords for both roblox and your email
  3. Don’t give random people (read: chrome plugins) access to your roblox cookies. EVER.

They should honestly also do device 2FA like what Apple does with iCloud.

Under the rules of the forum, it says to not bump old threads unless it brings more info. This reply serves to bring more info, and I feel this request should see an official response.

I’ve set up an alt account to test out Roblox’s parental controls with regards to robux purchases as of today. It would be crucial information to add that we, in 2022, have a plethora of ways to secure accounts that was previously not available in 2017. (Authenticator App, Email, Security Keys on Web Only, and Backup Codes)

I’ve made this account: RobloxParentCtrlTest - Roblox

A 13+ account with a parental PIN and 2FA via email. When trying to purchase a developer product ($R 10) from a game (created on my main account, PB&Jay), I was presented with this screen:

Kids can easily bypass this and thus my question is: Why not show the 4-digit parental PIN I had set up?

I’m confused as to why a PIN isn’t in place for purchases, or at least why I didn’t see one. Moving forward, I clicked “OK”, with no robux in my balance. I did not put in my credit card information and so there may or may not be a PIN required after putting in credit card info. (to my knowledge, and almost an hour of research, it’s my understanding this is not a thing)

Additionally, there is this developer discussion on the topic of PIN/2FA setting for making purchases using robux that has given me more info regarding this pressing matter.

I hope to see action in addition to a formal response on this matter.

Thank you,
Reditect
