Hey Tycoons! It’s time for another QnA session with the Devs!
You all had a LOT of questions this time around… Luckily, we had a lot of answers too!
Now, let’s not waste any more time and let’s get to answering your burning questions!
Q: When we completed the puzzles from the Secrets of the Deep event, it showed some cool places. Are we able to get to these places?
A: Not… yet. However, it will be coming soon! Stay tuned for more info
Q: In the Secrets of the Deep Event, there are missions that requires us to level up. What if we’re on Level 20?
A: Don’t worry! The Reach Lv. 20 mission is there to offset the loss of puzzle pieces from the inability to level up. Besides this, you can easily obtain enough puzzle pieces just from the Daily Missions to complete one puzzle. Surplus puzzle pieces are not exchangable, so there is no need to hoard them.
Q: Are there any special rewards for completing the Secrets of the Deep event?
A: Well… Tycoon Bux is pretty special, no? If you’re looking for other special rewards, what if I told you that the real special rewards are the puzzles that we completed along the way!
Q: When the Upgrade Ray item was revamped, its science item variant wasn’t. Can it be revamped too?
A: Yup! In Version 2.10, the Cooler Ray science item will have a new model to match the current one’s design.
Q: Can we have visual effects for the waterfalls in the Island’s flumes? It looks really odd, especially when ores are falling.
A: Yes, you can! In Version 2.10, the Island’s flumes (or conveyors) will be getting some visual improvements. Look at that awesome mini-waterfall!
It looks like a waterfall, and it also sounds like a waterfall! Too bad you can’t hear sounds through GIFs, huh? (This GIF was taken from a development build, and is subject to change.)
Q: Can we have a setting to disable particles? Just looking at that GIF makes my phone melt!
A: Hmm… This feature is part of our planned ones, but it’s not currently in our priority list. We’re not sure whether it’ll make it to Version 2.10, but please know that your requests have been noted!
Q: Excavator cooldowns right now are a pain! Can we have refinery upgrades that decrease the cooldown of excavators?
A: Hey! That’s two in a row… You’re not spying on our notes, are you?
As you might’ve guessed, this refinery upgrade is planned for a future update! Stay tuned for more information about this upgrade
Q: The reruns have been getting boring… Can we have Mystery Bags with new themes (like food, etc.)?
A: Great idea! A food-themed mystery bag event… Let me pass this on to our awesome Art Team!
Oh, and by the way, getting tired of reruns, you say? Don’t worry, there will be new items in the Mystery Bag for Version 2.10!
Q: It’s been three years since the last Halloween event… Can we please have another one this year?
A: Hmm… We can’t answer that question for now, but what I can say is that there will be a new item skin bundle coming soon this October! And yes, they will be Halloween-themed! We’ll be releasing more info soon, but for now, here’s a sneak peek for two of the MANY items included in the upcoming Halloween Bundle!
Q: Can there be pop-up notifications for Crate Rains/Storms and Diamond/Ruby chests? We console players can’t see the chat notifications.
A: Noted! If this feature doesn’t get into Version 2.10, expect it by the next one!
Q: Can we have a sorting system based on stats (Ex.: HP, SPD, etc.) for Accessories?
A: Hmm… Sorry, tycoons, but this system is not yet within our immediate plans. It will take a while until this feature gets added, so please be patient!
Q: The localization for my language is really bad… Can we please have a language selector in-game?
A: Sorry about that! We are currently using machine translations at the moment, and we are aware that some sentences just don’t make sense. We’ve been slowly pushing out some internal work with regards to how the game’s interface will be localized over the past year while we also work on the main Version Events and Features. Please be patient! We hope to have Ore Tycoon 2 be fully human-translated in Spanish by early 2022, and for more languages by late 2022.
Q: When is the next expansion?
A: It’s coming in Version 2.10!
Yup! The next expansion is coming in the next update, Version 2.10 “Deepest Depths”! This is our biggest area expansion yet, and there’s more surprises to come… Watch out for our next announcements over the next week on our Twitter Page!
Oh, and since this update is pretty big… We’ll need some more time to polish some stuff. Because of this, we’ll be extending the Secrets of the Deep puzzle event by another week! Make sure that you’ve already completed all the available puzzles at the moment and have collected the Tycoon Bux rewards, as they will disappear in the next update. All unclaimed Tycoon Bux rewards will be void.
Oh, and if you still haven’t started the event yet, you’re missing out on early sneak peeks for the next expansion! Unless you’re trying to really enjoy the next expansion by avoiding all spoilers available, we recommend that you start the event now
