Refinery

  • Added a new expansion: Island Expansion (Floor 2)
    • Includes 45 new items, including 27 new mines, 1 new excavator, 1 new mechanical upgrader, 5 new upgraders, 5 new conveyor segments, 3 new refinery structure upgrades, and 3 new armory items
  • Significantly improved the Island Expanssion (Floor 1) progression
  • Added two new items to the Island Expansion (Floor 1): Seashell Collector upgrades
  • Seashell Collector is now an excavator
  • Remodeled the Ore Polisher, Ore Purifier, Metal Polisher, Second Ore Cleaner, Peridot Mine, Aquamarine Mine, Gem Charger, Solar Upgraders, Ceramic Pot (ore), and Coin (ore)
  • Mechanical Upgrader charge is now hard-capped at 10k seconds

Research

  • Added a new Research Upgrade: “Monkey Power” (Lv. 16)
    • Apes together strong! Increases the maximum stored charge of the Monkey Tower.
  • Added two new Research Items: Advanced Cleaner (Lv. 10+) and Seafarer’s Guide (Lv. 15)
  • Adjusted the rewards for Researching:
    • Research Items will now be awarded for Levels 2, 4, 6, 8, … instead of Lv. 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25.
      • Players who should now have more research items will automatically get these items upon joining an updated server
    • NeoOrb rewards for Levels 16 - 20 increased from 5 → 8
    • Researching will now award Tycoon Bux
      • Lv. 2: 500
      • Lv. 3 - 5: 750
      • Lv. 6 - 10: 1,000
      • Lv. 11 - 15: 1,500
      • Lv. 16 - 20: 2,000
      • This will be awarded retroactively up to Lv. 16 (the level reset). At Lv. 16, the maximum reward is 17,250 Tycoon Bux.
  • Level reset to Lv. 16 for players above Lv. 17
    • These players will receive Tycoon Bux depending on their level when the update releases:
      • Lv. 17 - 19: +1,000
      • Lv. 20: +1,500
      • Lv. 21 - 24: +2,000
      • Lv. 25: +3,000
      • At Lv. 25, the compensation amounts to 15,500 Tycoon Bux.
      • Players who did the Back to Ore One challenge will receive the full compensation as if they were at Lv. 25, regardless of current level, in addition to an exclusive “Ruby Excavator” chat badge
  • Lowered level cap to 20
  • Base Ore Limit reduced from 500 → 150
  • Limit Disregard intervals reduced
    • Lv. 1 - 9 Limit Disregards will now increase ore limit by 25 (prev. 50)
    • Lv. 5, and Lv. 10+ will increase ore limit by 50
    • Lv. 15 and 20 will increase ore limit by 75
  • Changed the price of Inverter Technology and Limit Disregard
    • All players who purchased these items will have their neoorbs respec’d for free
  • Lowered NeoOrb Respec price from 399 Robux → 99 Robux
    • Dev Note: We will be including an option to respec using Tycoon Bux in a future update
  • Clarified Mechanical Upgrader Battery description
  • Increased the maximum level of Inverter Technology and Limit Disregard
  • Upgrading “Limit Disregard” will now automatically apply the increase in limit

Mystery Bag

  • New Mystery Bag item event: "Beach Getaway" (June 2, 2021 to June 23, 2021, 10:00 AM UTC+8)
  • If you received a duplicate Mythical, you will receive a refund equal to 1 Mystery Bag (unaffected by VIP Pass or type of bag)
  • If you received a duplicate xMythical, you will receive a refund equal to 4 Mystery Bags (unaffected by VIP Pass or type of bag)
  • Changed the colors of Common, Uncommon, and Rare item tiers

Interface

  • Added new interface sounds
  • Improved the Catalog, Inventory, Settings, and Research screens’ buttons
  • Research Screen will now show a complete list of rewards that will be given upon researching to the next level
  • Achievements List and Feedback Screen can now be exited by switching to a different settings category
  • Improved thumbnails of multiple items
  • Removed Genesis Mine thumbnail
  • Neon Cannon hotbar thumbnail is now the same as its inventory thumbnail
  • Search bar will now take stats into account
  • Game will not send a notification for reaching the Cash requirement if it already sent one within the last 60 seconds
  • Achievement notification duration shortened: 15s → 5s
  • Improved Gamepad controls
    • Weapon hotbar is now hidden when a screen is active
    • Improved selection
    • Further improvements will be coming in a future update
  • Improved menu blur effect
  • The Research Screen can now be toggled by pressing the “R” keybind if the player is using a melee weapon
  • If an item does not have a Thumbnail, it will have a generic question mark thumbnail instead of a broken thumbnail.
  • Inventory items now have a small colored circle on top-left to indicate the item’s tier

Settings

  • Added a new setting: SFX Volume
    • This controls the volume of character sounds, weapon sounds, and interface sounds
  • Improved the Ore Filter
    • Mines that are disabled or partially disabled will now be listed down
      • Mobile UI will be improved for this in a future update
    • Increased suffix cap from DD to QnD
  • Shortened research level-up screen animation
  • The top-leftmost item is now autoselected upon opening a category/screen
  • Improved the “Enable Shadows” setting
  • Next and Previous buttons on the Music Player are now hidden if old songs aren’t queued
  • Default Music Volume is now 10
  • Maximum Music Volume is now quieter to match the maximum SFX Volume setting loudness
  • Custom broadcast text color will now be enabled on joining if it was enabled prior to leaving
  • It is now clearer whether a settings pop-up can’t be exited by switching to a different settings category
  • Ore Limit appearing on the corner is now default. Players who had this disabled in the previous update will have this setting enabled.

Weapons

  • Weapon Chests now only have a chance to give one of the following items: Crossbow, Crowbar, Flare Gun, Futuretech Rifle (x15 Scope), Blue Hyperlaser Gun, Knife, Minigun, Scoped Shotgun, SMG, Super Jetpack, Weak Gravity Coil, Umbrella
  • A weapon in the hotbar or on hand is now required to open weapon chests
  • You can no longer obtain duplicate weapons from the Weapon Chest
  • If you already have all the weapons, the weapon chest will give 100 Tycoon Bux instead
  • Armor will now reduce damage on bullet hits at any body part, even if it does not visually cover the said body part (excluding the Head)
  • Stats Changes:
    • Nerfed the SMG: DMG 17 → 9, Reload Time 2 → 4
    • Nerfed Cardboard Greatsword: 10 → 6
    • Frying Pan SPD: 3 → 0; Lunge: 24 → 21
    • Decreased Heartcrusher’s bomb explosion volume
  • Constructs can no longer be placed near the Mechanical Upgrader button

Other

  • Improved loading
  • Upgrading refinery upgrades, and purchasing premium items (Robux-costing items, excluding Crate Rains/Storms) will no longer be announced to the server
  • Added three new achievements: Monkey Business, Novice Researcher, Adept Researcher
  • Renamed “Veteran Clicker” to “Supercharged”
  • Retired seven achievements: Hasta La Vista, Early Bird Gets the Worm, Unexpected Encounter, Broadcaster, Super Duper Secret Code, Unboxing Fanatic, Just One More Box
  • You can no longer redeem codes for already owned items
  • Temporarily disabled Frozen Hoverboard due to issues

Happy Pride Month!

Version 2.8.1

  • In celebration of Pride Month, we’ve added nine new Pride Month-related items to the game, including seven permanent code items! :rainbow_flag:
    • Two new chat tags: “Proud” and “Ally”
    • Seven new chat badges, which are obtainable via the following in-game redeemable codes:
      • “Pride”: PRIDE
      • “Trans Pride”: TRANSPRIDE
      • “Bi Pride”: BIPRIDE
      • “Lesbian Pride”: LESBIANPRIDE
      • “Pan Pride”: PANPRIDE
      • “Ace Pride”: ACEPRIDE
      • “Non-binary Pride”: NONBINARYPRIDE
  • We’ve made some adjustments based on everyone’s feedback regarding Version 2.8 Game Difficulty:
    • Faster Drilling per-level drilling speed increase decreased: 5% → 3% (At Lv. 10, 50% → 30%)
    • Decreased Black Diamond Mine base price by 50%
    • We will continue monitoring everyone’s feedback to make appropriate changes to the Game Difficulty

Version 2.8.2

  • A new Mystery Bag item event, “Midsummer Twilight”, is now here!
    • New xMythical: “Solarblaze Staff”
      A radiant staff that once belonged to the few elite mages of the Solarian civilization. It draws its power directly from the Sun.
  • Improved gamepad controls
  • Improved Solar Forcefield Generator visual effects
  • Tooltips no longer appear when using a gamepad
  • Switching tabs will no longer reset your item selection to the first item in the list (for Catalog and Inventory)
  • The chat will now use Display Names
  • Fixed the following issues:
    • The legend for disabled mines in the Ore Filter screen is distorted
    • Using the skins “Solar Forcefield Generator”, “Colossal Energy Extractor”, and “Neonnical Upgrader” causes the item’s proximity prompts to disappear
    • The “Pumpkium Extractor” item has the “Pumpkin Mine” thumbnail
    • The Owner Door may trigger repeatedly for the same player in some cases, causing overcounts for the achievement “How It Feels To Chew Bloxgum”
    • When switching between Solo Mode and Public Servers, the music volume slider will stop working correctly
    • A random unanchored part exists somewhere within the map
    • The chat may be incorrectly formatted or spaced at random occasions

Version 2.8.3

  • A new Mystery Bag item event, “Sunsetting Ideals”, is now here!
    • Returning xMythical: “The Solar Savior”
      The thermal power of a million suns radiates within you. Channel it wisely through the Solarian Blade and obliterate your enemies into a crisp.
    • New Mythical: “Solar Raygun”
      An ancient raygun, charged with the power of many suns. It has greatly diminished in power since, but vaporize your enemies anyway!
    • Returning Mythical: “The Solarian Blade”
      The Solarian Blade is an ancient artifact from the Solarian civilization. Only its true master—the Solar Savior—can unlock and witness the action of the sheer energy of a million suns.
    • This Mystery Bag item event will run from July 21, 2021 to August 11, 2021 (UTC+8).
  • Level Resetting is now back! For their first reset, players will be awarded 15,000 Tycoon Bux and the “Ruby Island Badge” for a limited time only.
    • Reaching previously-reached levels after resets will yield reduced Tycoon Bux rewards
    • “Back to Ore One” will not be awarded for level resetting for the meantime
  • Added a new level to the “Accountant” research: Accountant Lv. 2 will enable you to see the value of your ores.
    • The Ore Worth Indicator perk from the VIP Pass has been subsequently removed. We apologize for the inconvenience. All VIP players before this update will be awarded 5,000 Tycoon Bux as compensation.
  • “Reset Tycoon Data” is now “Reset Levels” to avoid confusion
  • Improved Level Reset warning
  • Level Resets are now counted. Your current level resets for this season will be available on the Research Screen.
  • Adjusted endgame requirements
  • Mechanical Generator now scales with Inverter Technology (5% more charge per level, rounded)
  • Optimized ores
  • Adjusted appearance of the ore worth indicator
  • Fixed Heartcrusher bombs being too quiet
  • Fixed ores being deleted if the ore number hits the maximum amount, resulting to a back-and-forth ore number
  • Fixed a portion of the old Gem Charger model being part of a conveyor wall

Version 2.8.3.2

  • You can now hover over the disabled mine list in Settings to view the ore’s value range.
  • The disabled mine list is now limited to up to 3 ores per row for phones
  • The in-game audio player will now indicate whether or not the song playing is stream-safe
  • Various interface tweaks
  • Fixes the following issues:
    • Broadcast Colors are visually unlocked even without VIP (this does not actually allow non-VIP players to set their broadcast color).
    • Cash Per Second will not work if you have the Accountant Level 2 upgrade. This will be fixed in a future version update.
    • Unlocking a new Science skin whilst already having a skin equipped for such item will cause a desync between the equip statuses.
    • The item requirement for Level 5 and the name of the item itself is inconsistent.
    • The “Neonnical Upgrader” skin floats.
    • The automatic ore limit adjustments upon upgrading the “Limit Disregard” upgrade does not save automatically.
    • After resetting levels or researching, leaving before purchasing the Mechanical Upgrader will cause the upgrader to retain its charge prior to researching/resetting levels.
