The Version 3.0 Update, “Dawn of the New Age”, starts the new Laboratory chapter and introduces the first of the three areas of the Laboratory Area. Let’s check out what’s coming in this patch!
New Area: Laboratory: Area A
- Construction complete! The foundations of a new scientific revolution have been laid down. Step onto the Laboratory Island and enter the Laboratory: Area A.
- Laboratory: Area A contains 26 new ores, 7 new upgraders, and 7 new conveyor segments.
Research & Refinery
- Level Cap increased from 30 → 35
- Added 5 new Science Items:
- CoCoBlaster! (Cocoupgrader science upgrade, obtainable at Lv. 20+)
- The Sacred Banana (Banana Refiner science upgrade, obtainable at Lv. 25+)

New System: O.R.E. Club
- Introducing the Ore Rerfinery Enthusiasts (O.R.E.) Club! The O.R.E. Club organizes regular challenges amongst its numerous members. Complete the challenges to increase your O.R.E. Season Rank and earn numerous rewards!
- Complete the daily, weekly, and seasonal missions to earn Season EXP. Every 1,000 Season EXP corresponds to an increase in the Season Rank. Reach higher Season Ranks for more rewards!
- The O.R.E. Club has three levels of Season Membership:
- Silver (Free)
- Silver is the lowest membership level in the O.R.E. Club. With the Silver season membership, you can claim all of the Silver-tier rewards from the O.R.E. Club Challenges, including: Tycoon Bux, New Age Excavator, Season chat titles, and the Energy Hex chat badge!
- Gold (

- Gold is the middle membership level in the O.R.E. Club. With the Gold season membership, you can claim all of the Silver-tier and Gold-tier rewards from the O.R.E. Club challenges, including: TONS of Tycoon Bux, numerous Mystery Bags and Capsules, and 1+9 awesome season item skins!

- Challenges Period: March 27, 2022 02:00 - May 15, 2022 00:00 UTC. After this period, O.R.E. Club members can no longer complete missions.
- Weekly Missions will be available starting March 28, 2022 00:00 UTC. Weekly Missions will reset every 00:00 Monday UTC.
New System: Combat
- Version 3.0 comes with numerous changes to Combat!
- Introducing Damage Types! Use weapons of different Damage Types to win against your enemies!
- Version 3.0 launches with 10 new damage types, namely:
- Physical
- Fire
- Ice
- Grass
- Water
- Electric
- Shadow
- Earth
- Wind
- Light
- Version 3.0 launches with 10 new damage types, namely:
- Introducing Damage Resistances! DMG Resistances will reduce any incoming DMG of the same type.
- Items that modify DMG resistances will be added into the game in the future. Think Potions!
- Shields. Are. IN! Shields will absorb all incoming DMG (except for Bleed DMG) and prevent you from being knocked out.
- If the DMG instance is greater than the Shield HP value, the extra DMG will be taken by your character
- Some shields are more effective against specific DMG types! Use shields that are appropriate to your battle!
- Some weapons are more effective against shields than others. Use big weapons such as the Heartslasher and Heartbreaker to deal Heavy DMG, which is 10% more effective against shields. Meanwhile, swords and small weapons will deal Light DMG, which is 10% less effective against shields.
- Some weapons will have an increased Shieldbreak stat, which makes that weapon more effective against Shields!
- More items that provide shields will be added into the game soon
- Armor has been revamped in the New Age!
- Armor now has Durability. Upon hitting 0 durability, the armor will break and can no longer absorb DMG. A notification will appear to inform you whenever your armor breaks.
- Different armor will offer varying damage reductions and will have varying resistances to DMG types:
- Lv. 1 Armor will absorb 10% of all incoming DMG and has a base durability of 10. This armor has no particular resistances.
- Lv. 2 Armor will absorb 20% of all incoming DMG and has a base durability of 50. This armor has no particular resistances.
- Lv. 3 Armor will absorb 33% of all incoming DMG and has a base durability of 165. This armor has 10% Physical, Water, Earth, and Wind RES, and -10% Fire, Ice and Electric RES.
- This means that the armor’s durability will be reduced by a decreased percentage if the incoming DMG type is Physical/Water/Earth/Wind, and by an increased percentage if the incoming DMG is Electric/Ice/Fire. Armor RES only affects its durability and will not affect the DMG absorption.
- Coconut Armor will absorb 33% of all incoming DMG and has a base durability of 165. This armor has 40% Electric/Water RES, 10% Rock RES, and -40% Fire RES.
- If the player is shielded, the shield will absorb all incoming DMG (armor will not take DMG) unless the shield breaks in that specific DMG instance.
- Helmets will only absorb DMG from Head hits, and Armor will absorb DMG from body hits.
- Currently, we do not have items that can restore the durability of armor. However, we plan to add items with such abilities in the future. Please note that Heal Pad will not regenerate the durability of Armor and Shields. You may return to your Refinery and equip the armor of the same type to restore its durability.
- Note that Bleed DMG will still go through Armor!
- New sword systems are enabled in select swords:
- Heartbreaker
- Heartslasher
- Prototype: ION
- Starcleaver
- The new sword system grants the swords new sequences, new animations, and a lock-on/autotarget system. The new sword system also comes with improved user experience under poor network conditions. This sword system is experimental and has only been enabled in select swords. We plan to expand the number of weapons that use this system in the future!

- Due to the numerous achievements added in Version 3.0, we opted to temporarily freeze the Tycoon Master requirements until we finally add Achievement Categories. In the meantime, please use the “Tycoon Master Requirements” filter option on the Achievements List to check on your progress towards the Tycoon Master challenge completion. We apologize for the inconvenience.
- Monkey Tower will no longer award the Overflow and Supercharged achievements
- Improved mouse hold scrolling and inertial scrolling

Balances
- Reduced the JUMP values of all accessories & some gear
- We extremely undervalued JUMP stats in the game, which resulted in an imbalance of power of items with JUMP stats. JUMP is valuable as it allows players to jump over obstacles and dodge attacks. However, we found out that the current values are so high that players are able to jump over max-leveled Refinery walls and avoid melee damage altogether without any repercussion.
- We also found issues wherein the following items had JUMP values higher than intended: DIY PlantChampion (25 instead of 20), Jetpack Bag (50 instead of 25), Beach Ball On Top Of Your Head (25 instead of 20). This issue is has been fixed. Please note that we will still continue with the rebalancing as JUMP stats are still very overpowered even with this fix.

Fixes
- Fixed an issue wherein the Science Item “Gate of Destiny” did not actually increase the ore jackpot chance
- Fixed an issue wherein the Science Item “Refiner of Tomorrow” did not increase its multiplier as intended
- Fixed a visual issue wherein gun bullets appeared to hit invisible walls when shot from outside the Island Refinery towards the main entrance
- Fixed a bug with the credits screen when changing the interface sizes
- Fixed Batwing Scythe having the unintended ability to heal its user
- Fixed an issue wherein the Glove of the Brawler’s critical chance boost and Disarm effect from the Isle of Brawl 2021 event are still active
- Fixed some weapons being unable to deal damage
- Fixed an issue with animations wherein knees bend unrealistically
