Organizing Parts

  • What are you attempting to achieve?
I want to organise all the parts in the workspace and in the lobby if possible. I don’t know if I should use a folder or model to group them.

  • What is the issue?
I don’t know how to do it properly.

  • What solutions have you tried so far? (Have you searched for solutions through the Roblox Wiki yet?)
I am looking for solution in the DevForum website

Thank you

I would highly recommend placing multiple models or parts that you want to edit in the future in folders.

Use models for objects that you don’t want to edit or objects that you intend to use multiple times.

Adding a bit onto what Crazed said,

I notice you have a lot of models named the same thing. Let’s say you need to update a part of a model, but you don’t wanna write a script to replace each and every one every time… Packages!

Learn more about Packages here.

Here’s an example of how I use it personally.
I tinker with the lighting in this area a lot, and packages make it a breeze to just change one of the lights, and apply the effect to all of them.

Packages do have some minor issues here and there.
