Overriding High DPI Settings to Remove Blurriness Cuts Off Bottom of Studio

Reproduction Steps

  • Use a high DPI monitor, such that Studio appears blurry by default.
  • Enable “Show Diagnostics Bar” under the “Advanced” category of Studio’s settings.
  • Override high DPI scaling behavior with Application settings

Expected Behavior
Without overriding high DPI settings, I expect the bottom of Studio (and in turn the Diagnostics bar) to be visible.

Actual Behavior
The bottom of Studio ends up being cut off, regardless of the window being maximized or not.

Issue Area: Studio
Issue Type: Display
Impact: Low
Frequency: Constantly

isn’t this because the app isn’t on full screen?

Nope. Last screenshot shows it clearly not in full-screen mode. Here it is again after toggling it on/off in the View topbar.

Thanks for the report.
When you are overriding studio for high dpi scaling, windows is now scaling up Studio’s fonts. The problem is our application does not currently resize the UI accordingly, resulting in the text truncation you are reporting.
As Dave mentioned at RDC, we are currently working on proper High DPI support, so soon our users wont have to use the override option to get proper high dpi performance.
Unless this is majorly impacting you in some way, we will not have a short term patch for this, but we did confirm that this issue will no longer be present once we have high dpi support (Hopefully sometime early next year).
As a temporary workaround, if you decrease your scaling percent, the text will be less truncated.

Ok, thank you. I saw the announcement for High DPI support at RDC. Is there any ETA for when that will be available?
