Paid Games Have "Free" in Page Title

“PlaceTitleHere, a Free Game on ROBLOX.com!”
(scroll down)
Access: 25 R$

Just a small thing.

Except it is free. You’re trying to compare apples and oranges. The “free” doesn’t mean it doesn’t cost ANYTHING, it means it doesn’t cost REAL money to play.

You’re however seeing it as it doesn’t cost ROBUX to play.

And yes, you can still play a R$25 game without buying anything. Just wait a month and a half (obviously not ideal though).

No Robux is free – someone ultimately paid for the Robux with real money. And free means free of all charge – not something you don’t have to pay real money for. OP is valid.

Well…technically you could make an account and save the 10tix you get per day up until you want to trade those tix for robux so you then can buy access to the game.

Robux in the currency exchange doesn’t come from magic. Someone already had that Robux and is trading it to you. They could have gotten it from the currency exchange. That Robux could have gone through the exchange hundreds of times, but it first came onto ROBLOX through someone’s BC (bought with real money), a ROBLOX card (bought with real money), or purchasing currency directly from the site (also bought with real money). There’s no way to introduce Robux into ROBLOX (aside from the admins awarding it to you (looking at you, John), and even then it costs ROBLOX real money in revenue) without real money. So no, it cost someone, somewhere real money for that Robux at some point in time. It’s not free.

That true but you don’t have to buy anything. Anyone could just play roblox for free now that some other people have spent money, but its your choose if you want to spend real money

The term free implies free-of-charge.

  1. The Robux cost someone something

  2. You’re using virtual currency to pay for it

So regardless of if you paid for it or not, it’s still not free. You are being charged to access the game. Let’s try to explain this with an example. If you picked up pennies every day of your life and ended up trading them for a $5 bill a year down the road, walked into WalMart, and bought some food, was that food free? No – it wasn’t. So stop trying to be sly and “Wellll… Because of this…” No. It’s not free. Period. End of discussion.
