Parallax Scrolling Sky box

Ever want to make a Parallax scrolling Skybox with separate transparency layers but realized how difficult that would be to make from scratch?

This is a model featuring code and meshes that demonstrate a Parallax scrolling skybox that spins with 3 layers at different speeds to create an interesting visual effect.

This Skybox model features three dome meshes spinning at different speeds textured to present a pink and blue cloudy sunset. Some of the meshes use transparency mode of Surface appearances.

You can go to roblox.com/library/ --[asset id of the texture]-- to edit the textures in photoshop or other photo editing software.

You can also use the roblox Mesh Texture generator to create different main skyboxes.
You can also just not use the main skybox and just enjoy the clouds!

I would suggest implementing the script locally and having the skybox follow the player around.

I noticed there was nothing of this sort to be found on ROBLOX so I hope this is useful for someone!

ROBLOX’s video recorder isn’t working well for me but the model is pretty self explanatory.
Something I would definitely consider looking at. You can just plop it in the workspace and place it at position 0,0,0 to see it.
It works in conjunction with the current skybox but has certain limitation that would make it best to make the body position of the skybox follow the player locally on a larger map. Otherwise the skybox uses physic body movers to spin. So there is 0 code running.
But it may look better if you use tween service to spin the skybox.
