Apparently users (mostly teens) are experiencing parental controls being put on automatically for no reason, Despite them never enabling it in the first place, and being well over 13+. They are reportedly getting pop-ups when purchasing robux saying “Due to regional restrictions, you need parent permission to make a purchase.”
Don’t know if this is some type of bug or roblox experimenting with robux age purchasing guidelines.
After shortly finding out this issue (And this happening to me), I’ve since then went on a mass investigation, checked the devforum but found no posts about it yet however, I did still find multiple users that are this experiencing this issue
This is happening to me as well. Really annoying, especially since my account is 17+ and I’ve done this many times in the past. Tried contacting support, but as per usual it hasn’t helped.
Having this same issue as well, I don’t get why I have to have permission to buy robux even though I’m ID verified and have been buying robux for years with no issue. I used to have a pin for safety but they decide to remove it as well. Having to be over 18 just to buy something like robux and having to do all these steps just to buy it baffles me. Roblox should realize that people are not going to want go through all these steps and will just not buy robux. I get its to protect kids from stealing moms credit card and going bonkers but there has to be a better solution for users like me who are capable of handling their own account and transactions.
