Hi guys.
Today, I was trying my game on Level 1 graphics for testing purposes, and noticed that the particle emitters were not visible.
Has anyone else experienced this? Does anyone know if its a bug or meant to be like that?
Thanks.

It’s probably to help players with bad PC’s play the game at decent framerates.
Yeah, that’s what I thought, but surely this could ruin quite a lot of games that rely heavily on particle emitters?
Probably. I’m okay with that tradeoff though. If they only added features that low-end PC’s could support we’d never get any new features.
They are visible, just emit at 1/10th of the specified rate. Totally intentional.
Wait, so if I have my graphics on 3 it would emit 3/10 of the specified rate? Just curious since a while ago I was interested about how rates and such were affected by graphics quality.
Yep
Is there a way to disable this feature? I want my game to work on both lower graphics and higher graphics, the particles are too strong on higher graphics but I can’t lower them because they will ruin lower graphics particles.
Why are particles needed for your game to “work”? Particles are meant for cosmetic use cases.
EDIT: just noticed this is a bug report and it’s been marked as solved, please file a feature request and make sure to include a detailed description of your use case.
