Not sure if this is the right place to write this; but anyway.
I am making all particles on the client side; Which is irrelevant but that’s what I’m doing when I noticed this.
When I hit play, my particle rates are cut in half, as opposed to what they were in studio.
This happens even in a baseplate project.
I could just double the rate; but I’m looking to see if this is intended behavior or a bug.
You can have a difference graphics settings in-studio and in-game so this is why there’s a difference when you click the play button. You could see it happen first-hand by changing the graphics quality in-game.
If you want to change your studio graphics level, click on file and then settings.
From there you’re going to have to go to Rendering and change the quality through the drop down menu
Oh Derp! Nailed it first post. I was creating a repo for this and everything lmao. That makes so much sense, and I didn’t even consider it…
Thank you for clarifying this for me.
Might as well also include the fact that there is a limit to how many particles can be rendered on screen. It’s 16000 for computers and XBox, 3500 for mobile.
