Last I ever heard about it (also over a year ago) was that it wasn’t enabled yet because of an “outstanding issue”.
Here’s some effects I’ve made using Drag (using ClientSettings override):

I don’t really have any use for them myself so I’d like to give them away for people to use however, but since Drag still isn’t enabled this is how they would appear to everyone:
I’ll think about it.

Any word on this?
I really think this feature would improve the quality of Roblox particles immensely. Could we get a status update on this soon?
Not yet.
Any news on this?
I’ve heard that Davidii added it without asking Max, so it didn’t ship.
I’ve been tempted to make a feature request for it, but I’m not sure since the situation is a little weird (making a feature request for a feature we’ve had for almost 2 years and just hasn’t been enabled?)
I’m going to make this happen a bit later today.
Drag away
That’s awesome! Please let us keep Negative drag since it lets us exponentially speed up particles.
you are my saviour, zeuxcg
When will this become available for the Player Client? It still only works in the studio.
I believe this is available in the client - can you post a repro case for when it doesn’t work? What platform are you testing on?
I’m using Windows 10. Not sure what details to provide as it doesn’t work in any case. I’ve asked others to also check it out and it doesn’t work for them either. This is the place I’m testing if you want to see for yourself: Monster Islands - Test Server - Roblox (press the keys g, h, j, k & l)
This is what it looks like in Studio: https://i.gyazo.com/7da9982ed22978b14128f9c893fe782d.mp4

I thought that maybe re-uploading the place file would fix it as I last uploaded before it was available for the client, but no changes.
Same problem, I just thought drag just hasn’t been enabled for client yet.
I probably should’ve mentioned earlier, but shortly before I unmarked this as solved I tested it by publishing a new place with an emitter with drag set to 2 and then I played it online and the drag was gone. I checked it with the console and it’d changed to 0, and trying to change it live did nothing. I’m also on W10, not using the UWP app.
Ah. I forgot to enable it on the server, and the flag guarded the property setup instead of just the property behavior.
It should be fixed now.
