(Reporting this bug on behalf of Lagomorph, a member of my community)
Every time this user selects a part in Studio, it offsets by 0.001 studs along the Y axis (X and Z are unaffected.) He is normally building on 0.25 stud increments, with Snap to Parts enabled. He has already tried multiple workarounds, including reinstalling Studio, using a different mouse, and plugins such as GridSnap. This is occurring on a Windows 10 computer, and restarting does not resolve the issue.
As shown here, clicking the same part multiple times causes the offset to add up rather quickly. Note the dark line growing between bricks.
Expected behavior
Normally, selecting a part should not be dragging it at all unless intended. This occurs on every click, and only along one axis.
Thank you for the report. Can you provide a rbxl file that demonstrates this problem along with instructions on how to reproduce the behavior in Studio (edit mode, which part to move, etc).
So the issue my friend was experiencing is not specific to any one experience. Every Studio place was glitching out the same way, until recently when the bug vanished on its own. Do you still need the .rbxl file? Because I don’t know how much it would reveal to you; it seems like this was an issue on Rubi/Lagomorph’s computer rather than Roblox’s end.
Thanks for the follow up, glad to hear the issue seems resolved. No need for the reproduction steps now - thanks. Let us know if the problem comes back.
