Parts Sinking Below Terrain

Hey so I am trying to make roads etc but my parts keep sinking below the terrain like you can see below. Does anyone have any ideas?

It has to do with the CFrame of the part. Studio can be pretty precise to where a part is in the world down to 0.001 studs. I like to keep my parts within any multiple of 0.05 studs on the world grid in Position and Size. Your terrain may also be out of ‘alignment’. If the ground is a baseplate perhaps check the baseplates coordinates and make sure it has size and position CFrame set within a more “precise” number.

PS: Clicking and dragging the part on the world sets the part right on top of whatever terrain or part it comes into contact with.

Is there a plugin to fix this? I know there is terrain fixers etc but it is very annoying when the part goes below the ground and then some roads are out of line with others, so when you are driving it makes your car bounce and hit things that doesnt appear to be there. Is there an easy way to fix it?

Are they going into the ground after you place them onto the parts?

So what happening, I spawn in a part to make a road, but when I make the road, the buttom off it it underneath my terrain, and other parts are the perfect fit (not going under the terrain) . I have flattened it multiple tmes and it is nothing to do with that

Why does it matter if they place under the Terrain as long as the top surface is flat? I have many Parts in my places that are placed so their bottom surface is below the Terrain.

When you align your road Parts don’t place them on the Terrain. Align them with the cursor pointing at the road Part you want the new Part to align with.

Terrain isn’t perfectly flat so your mouse position will register those small differences.

@Osrock_626 you can actually move Parts below .001 stud increments. Place 2 Parts aligned to each other and zoom in right to the edge where they meet. Select one of them then manually change one of the X,Y,Z values by .0001 and you can see the difference!

This a nightmare for builders…
