Parts staying at 0.5 transparency

So i have had this really weird bug happen to me multiple times before where I move a part and once I have moved it its transparency has changed from 0 to 0.5. Well, I haven’t been able to figure out what causes it until just now when I figured it out  So here are the steps to repro this:

  • Insert a part into the workspace
  • press cmd + 2 to select move tool
  • left-click and drag the part up BUT DON’T LET GO OF THE LEFT MOUSE BUTTON
  • now press cmd + 3 WHILE THE LEFT MOUSE BUTTON IS STILL PRESSED
  • you should now have a part who’s transparency is set to 0.5

I checked and this also works with cmd + 2 and 3 and 4. Also, you don’t have to drag the part but you do have to click on the tool so the part’s transparency goes to 0.5 before selecting another tool.

Usually when I build anything this happens at least once for me, but I never knew the exact cause. I always use shortcuts to select studio’s build tools, so this explains it.

This is still a problem.

This should be fixed now!

THANK YOU  I just checked and it is indeed fixed

It’s back :frowning:

Repro steps are exactly the same as I posted before.

That’s correct. The original fix had a bug where the scale tool always resulted in transparent parts. I haven’t had time to go back and fix that yet, sorry :frowning:

Could you guys internally switch it over to LocalTransparencyModifier?
