shhh. dont tell them this was always a thing that they removed!
doesnt xbox have its own party thing? there wouldnt be a need to add party to xbox. maybe just playstation
Players will be able to choose whether they want to be in party voice vs experience voice chat. Players will also be able to swap from one to another whenever they want to
Two more questions about party voice chat sorry…
-
Will you be able to voice chat in the app?
-
Will you be able to voice chat in different experiences, or only the same experience?
No worries!
Yes
The team working on this made some pretty sweet changes that allow for you to chat with your party mates even if they’re in a different experience from yourself. Even if you’re not in an experience, you’ll be able to still converse via voice with your party mates.
When will the new material UI come to the Roblox app, or is that classified info?
Is this on the website or just the app?
Edit: its only on the app for now
Why not add a chat channel for parties instead of creating a separate chat window?
cool, but we already had this…
I forgot to give this feedback yesterday, but
- we should be able to see the player status (circle thingy) in the Party menu, for example Online or In Studio.
- the party menu does not match the background transparency set by the user in settings.
- when the party menu is open, the / keybind should default to party chat instead of experience chat. (or this can be left as an option)
I’m, confused. It says its available globally on desktop, iOS and android, but Party is nowhere to be found on the website or even the desktop app
is it roblox completely copied from discord?!
That was removed a long time ago.
If I had a nickel for every time someone didn’t know about guilded in this post, I’d have like two, which isn’t alot but it’s strange it happened twice.
Great Update! However I’d like to see the limit raised from 6 to 10.
I can also see Parties being implemented inside Communities (Formerly Groups). Maybe publicly avialable parties you could join with fellow community members, would be useful for players who want to find others to play with who are apart of the same community/playerbase.
This didn’t age well considering the speculated plan to require users to be 13+ phone number verified to send friend requests or join groups
sorry for bump but for some reason party notifications wont show and if i try to fix it by sleep timer sleep timer isn’t there is this a setting or a bug
edit: it started working again but after i rejoined it stopped working
Hi Creators,
Quick update - starting this week, we are testing Party voice chat with a small audience of eligible 18+ phone verified users in select countries. We plan to make Party voice chat broadly available to all 13+ users later this year.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to expand Party chat functionality.
This might end very badly but I’m excited to see what happens
Just curious: will the filter be more lenient for party voice chat? I don’t wanna get banned for just messing around with a friend, and if not, it really doesn’t warrant using this instead of other alternatives.
Can someone please look into making the party menu display a user’s status? (without having to click on their icon in the chat menu)
Can we also have a way to join users with their joins enabled from in-game without having to actually “Start” the party?
