When processing payouts, recipients are searched and added using their usernames, not display names. However, after they are added as a recipient, they only show with a displayname.
Expected behavior
The entire payout process should exclusively use usernames, or at the very least display the username as a subtitle throughout the entire process, not only when adding a recipient. This would make processing bulk payouts much less painful!

There also seems to be some inconsistencies with audit logs between usernames and display names.

Hey - just to update you:
We’re currently in early stages of overhauling portions of the revenue management systems for groups. This is still a good few months out, but we plan to resolve this issue with that launch 
Just guessing, but this has something to do with the group section in the Creator Hub?
