PBR is not loading correctly when tool is equipped

note: i entered it in this category because i don’t have acces to #bug-reports:studio-bugs and i still don’t understand how to get acces but whatever it still almost fits the building support category

    im trying to make almost every texture pbr

    tools that are in your hand look much much much worse than the original as shown here

  • What solutions have you tried so far? (Have you searched for solutions through the Roblox Wiki yet?) i tried looking up but like always, google didn’t help me and so did devforum

does anyone know why is this happening?

I’ve seen a similar effect happening where a surface appearance kinda pops in an out at times for no clear reason. To my knowledge, this is some wacky bug. You could try making a material variant via the Material Service and seeing if that gives you different results.

tommorow im gonna see if that bug is in the actual roblox game/place, if not then i’ll mark this as solved because you can see the pbr in studio, its not a big deal to just get the tool off the humanoid and ignore that it looks like that
