Personal information held of your person by Roblox - How to request for it guide

Introducton:

Hello, if you decided to click on this thread and read its contents, you are likely interested in finding out what information Roblox knows about you and in addition, request this information.

Even though there is a Roblox Support element to this guide, the process of requesting your personal information held by Roblox is relatively straightforward. If you are only here to find which information Roblox holds of you, please refer to the # list section of this guide. The way to request information held of you is explained in the # request section of this guide.

IMPORTANT:

There is sadly, one hefty requirement in order to force Roblox to provide the information held of your person by Roblox. You need to be based in a jurisdiction that provides privacy rights, Roblox verifies this by using a third-party verification platform known as Veriff. In my experience, first-world countries have the required legal rights necessary for people to make such a request but if you are living not in a first-world country, independent legal research and or consult may be necessary.

List of possible information of you held by Roblox:

As stated in the title, the information that Roblox could hold relating to you is not the same for every user. Some users have a more elaborate personal document whilst others have a more limited document. The reason for that is straightforward if you have opted to supply Roblox with additional information like social media accounts, Facebook sign-ins, phone numbers… etcetera then Roblox will obviously have that accounted for in their document of your user.

The possible information held by Roblox of your user is as follows:

  • Current and past usernames
  • Current and past birthdates
  • Current and past Email addresses
  • Current and past phone numbers
  • Current and past social media accounts (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter, Guilded and Twitch)
  • Current and past third-party PII
  • Current and past Facebook sign-in ID
  • Current and past MAC addresses

  • Current and past login history (They created a login history starting somewhere near the date of the first of October, 2017. If your user was created past that date, you will obviously not see login history from before that date.

  • Current and past billing info which includes the following:
x Payment Date and exact time in the day (Central time) when the payment occurred
x Account on which payment occurred
    x IP
    x Profile IDs

NOTE: data held by Roblox under “Billing Info” may include data collected by Roblox through multiple transactions over the history of your account. The data format may differ, depending on the circumstances of those transactions, such as your log-in location or device, or the payment method used. For example, “Profile IDs” may reflect your Roblox username (in the case of a one-time purchase) or an alphanumeric identifier (in case of recurring purchases such as the Roblox Builders Club). Roblox also receives different data from third-party payment providers depending on the method of payment (e.g. PayPal, direct credit card, etc.),

  • Past moderation history (includes date of ban, duration of ban and ban reason)
  • Information relating to Devex
  • Your geolocation (terrifyingly accurate, they can track down your person based on

  • Your domicile which includes the following:
    x Street
    x House number
    x Apartment block and number
x Province, state, department, region or any other subnational and or sub-federal level of state.
    x Country

Step 1:

The first step to take is to contact Roblox via their Support form. File in the information of your Roblox account

The email address you put in the form should be the address associated with your Roblox account. It is crucial that you set the help category to Right of Access (ROA) under Data Privacy Requests.

In “Description of Issue”, put “I request to view the information held by Roblox of my person”.

Step 2:

The E-mail you receive from Roblox will probably read something like this. You must follow the instructions given to you by Roblox Support which includes providing your username, verifying ownership of any associated Roblox account, and confirming the specific data privacy request (Right of Access. e.g. (ROA) ). In addition, you will be needing to verify your person using a third-party website known as Veriff.

Step 3:

Step 3 will be the final step and most straightforth one, that is receiving the email with a document attached to it, this document will include the information held of your person by Roblox.
