Pet Animation (Simple)

I want to animate my pet’s in a simple fashion similar to Pet Simulator X.

I am setting it up like this:

Whenever I open the Animation Editor, I can select the pet, but I cannot add an animation track for the body.

Why is this happening?

could you give more information?

What exactly more do you need? Sorry, I’ve never animated a pet before.

like, can you not animate the body? does it say anything in the animation editor?

The body can’t be animated or moved at all. Animation Editor does not say anything.

have you checked that the body is unanchored or that it was properly rigged?

This is an example of a pet that I am trying to animate. It is just a mesh part named Body, the transparent part around it is the HumanoidRootPart I added. A Humanoid was added to the model as well.

Nothing is anchored within the model.

Everything I’ve found online states this is the proper way to rig a pet model.

Adding a Motor6D between the HumanoidRootPart and Body allowed me to animate the pet.

However, when in game the Motor6D vanishes off of the pet, not allowing the animation to play.
