KSG and M60 are WAY too over-powered. The snipers are too easy to use.
But what gun isn’t overpowered?
Rather than nerfing guns, we should just buff up every other gun to the same standards.
That m60 has got some range, I was getting a lot of kills around 200 studs and a few across the map. I do like what I see so far though, I know there’s still a lot of work and some balancing to do.

For the KSG, I believe it is the ability to snipe with it, that is OP. (Note for anyone who doesn’t know what the KSG is, it’s a shotgun.)
Yeah. We should probably increase the spread and decrease the damage a little.
Though on this note I have to say that people’s perceptions of shotguns have been altered by videogames.
If you’ve ever been bird hunting before, you’d know that our shotguns are closer to their real life counterparts than just about any other videogame full-choke shotgun.
I stink, but I did noscope two people with a sniper gun thingy.
Here’s a list of thoughts I had while playing
Overall I had fun but I wouldn’t come back to it again. The gameplay has zero depth. It’s just shooting, there’s no goals and no permenant stats. You don’t even earn anything like weapons or skins. With the aimless map and gamemode I can’t say I really have a reason to come back.

Can confirm, I work with shotguns quite often in my daily life. Ask if you have any questions about their real life behavior.
Takes forever to join the game.
Not sure what has changed since the last opened release, but there is now a very noticeable time needed for the character to be added to the game.
I did not really return. It is annoying when your team takes the crane and gets instantly wiped out when someone starts firing a shotgun up through the platform from the ground like 132 studs below.
Hmm I feel like everyone is picking on the gameplay balance problems far too early and ending up with some pretty bad impression from the ‘awful gameplay’ experience.
The lack of objectives or depth to gameplay/balance wasn’t the point of the test.
The map isn’t even a real map, but some random building experiment shaylan007 threw in together to play around with basic triangle terrain techniques.
The real point of the test was to see whether the game could run at all to begin with and how laggy it would perform (both in terms of framerate and networking).
Having added all the small details to mechanics Trey and I have been shoving in, we wanted to see what would happen when an average kid played the game on a typical potato computer.
I feel sad now that people won’t return to the game now because of the awful gameplay impression from a baseplate game T-T
Kevin’s post on the increased loading time of the game has me worried though.
(Is it CSG union data? The mandatory CSG physics data? Or the 5k part map?)

that is why having a giant and not subtle at all list of things you’re testing is a good idea. some people will still ignore it, but on-screen walls of text and large SurfaceGuis on the map is hard to beat.
A more helpful post instead of my previous one:
I find it really fun! The GUIs are great considering they are just something you presumably threw together. The animations are great and smooth, however as Ethan stated other players seem to be frozen mid animation. Sometimes when you are reloading you can’t sprint, it tries to sprint then it reverts back to a leisurely walk.
I absolutely love the wall shooting (which is why people are dying on the crane). Though, I find it odd that a bullet can travel from 200 studs and penetrate 4 layers of wall, then kill me. Maybe, if anything depending on the travel distance, how many walls it has to go through, decide the damage? (hopefully you don’t scrap the idea all together, it’s one of the best things in the game)
The sniper… Is just the God gun. Somehow that big tower thing (not the crane) people got up there, and I EASILY, I mean EASILY killed people from 700+ studs away. I’m not a sniper either.
Phantom forces is a game I’ve been enjoying for a while now. I don’t play it on a daily basis but it’s my go-to solution when I can’t find anything else to do. It’s simple, it’s fun and it never fails to give me a good challenge when I need one.
I saw that a lot of people here were complaining about guns being “overpowered”. I disagree. The M60 for example is a lot slower in terms of firing rate and reload compared to other guns, that more than balances the high damage. The same goes for sniper rifles, especially coupled with the fact that if you miss then people pretty much instantly know where you are because the bullet leaves a trace.
EDIT: I just played it again, and I do have a flaw to point out. People are somehow managing to get outside the map (I remember this being possible by spamming the knife key a while back), getting on the radio tower and sniping from there. Unfortunately, since there’s an invisible wall there, I can’t actually hit them or get close enough to take a shot. I think this should be a top priority as it is pretty game breaking when there’s 5 snipers on the opposite team up there.

LOOOOL That’s actually an easteregg. The cell tower thing.
Also thanks.
First FPS I’ve enjoyed on ROBLOX for a while. Love the particle effects done by Axis, I’m totally dreaming about putting in a shot-gun turret in my own game just so I can emulate them.
This is always an issue in FPS games on ROBLOX, but it’s especially apparent in this one. I have no idea what gun to pick. Is the SCAR-L better than the SCAR-H? Heck if I know what the difference is. Some stat read-outs, even a short description, that would be invaluable.
I know it’s not done, but too many FPS games just assume that we know that some gun is suppose to be an assault rifle with more range than that gun over that, that is an assault rifle. I can tell you right now, I do not.
Besides that small nitpick, I’m sure I could find more, but I suspect they’re already being addressed. Good luck!
How do people get to the cell tower?
Something I would like is if you were not kept in first person in the killcam mode. Sometimes I want to leave the game… but it keeps me from getting to the button until I get to the menu.

And this is why modern-day shooters are boring AF! I hate modern shooters and I hated this game, though I acknowledge that it is one of the best made games on ROBLOX and definitely deserves some attention.
I loved Call of ROBLOXia because it was a WWII game. Back then, guns actually had personality. These days, they’re all the same: FULL AUTO OR DED. Boring! Boring boring boring! Modern shooters are some of the worst games out there because if they’re realistically made the only gun to pick is the assault rifle and if they aren’t realistically made then you wonder why your carbine doesn’t one-shot and why you can run around with an M60.
If you want to know what I think the best shooter ever made is it’s Red Orchestra 2. Guns follow really closely to their realistic counterparts and there’s a high degree of skill involved in tactics because almost every gun will kill in one or two well placed shots (LIKE IN REAL LIFE, IMAGINE THAT). I’ve always been super pissed off about games where you’re shooting someone with a 556 and they don’t go down in one shot. It’s just flat-out ■■■■■■■■. It is literally a mach plus piece of flaming hot metal nearly a decimeter in diameter slamming into your watery flesh. Why aren’t you dead or dying?
I guess 'cuz it’s not a quikscoep intrvenshun r sumthin. When I learned that you, Lito, were making a new shooter, I was looking for Call of ROBLOXIA++ but I’m very disappointed to find out that you’ve made this instead.
tl;dr modern shooters are boring because full auto guns are as common as water in an ocean
pls maek ww2 mod, lito
