Phone App lagging when typing password too quick

My Device Info:
iPhone 11
iOS 17.0.2

Additional Info:
Bug seems to only happen on iPhones with iOS17

Devices I tried this on and the result:

  • iPhone 11 (iOS17.0.2): Started lagging
  • iPhone SE 2nd Gen (iOS17.0.2): Started lagging
  • iPhone 11 Pro (iOS17.0.2): Started lagging
  • iPhone 8 Plus (iOS 16.7): Didn’t start lagging
  • Samsung idk what (newest android version): Didn’t start lagging

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open Roblox App on iPhone Device with iOS17+
  2. On the log-in screen, type your username, then switch to typing in your password and quickly type letters (works best if you quickly click letters that on the keyboard are next to eachother)

Expected Result: Roblox app should run normally with no freezing or lag when quickly typing in a password

Actual Result: Roblox app starts freezing / lagging for a few seconds and then all letters which you just spammed appear in your password at once

(I’d add a video as proof, problem is iPhone automatically censors keyboard and password if you’re typing a password while screenrecording)

Pardon for the delayed reply.
Seems like no one on the team was able to reproduce this issue.
Therefore why it was closed.
If by any means this issue returns, I would suggest opening a new topic with a different name.

I think the original poster wasn’t aware that you can post a video privately to where only Roblox Staff can see it. They also could’ve used an alternate account that they don’t care about to upload the video. Hopefully in the future they realize how important it is to post video evidence when making a bug report :slightly_smiling_face:
