Currently, it seems as if the phone book API is not sending calls to mobile devices, pretty much defeating the whole point of the feature. This happens 100% of the time for me.
You can still receive call notifications in the Roblox desktop app, but these in-app notifications do not appear on mobile (your phone is supposed to physically ring instead), so it’s now impossible to accept a call on mobile.
Desktop notification
Repro
- Have two accounts, who are both voice-enabled, and both friends with each other.
- Be logged into account 1 in the Roblox mobile app on a phone.
- On account 2, visit Roblox Connect on a different device, and send a call to account 1.
- Observe how your phone will not ring.
Account 1 can then open the phone book and see that they have a missed call from account 2.
Device information
- iPhone SE 3
- iOS 18.0.1
I’ve seen a few other iOS users getting this issue recently. I don’t know if this happens on Android or not.
Expected behavior
When you call someone, their phone should ring.
