Physics Problems with Spring Constraint

I am trying to make a line that connects two parts using a spring constraint with no physical limits. One attachment is found under a tool in the player, another is found under an unanchored assembly of parts. Whenever I pull the tool out, I get flung, but I can stand back up. Whenever I try to walk with the tool out, it appears as if I am “limping” in a weird way. The properties of all the tools and objects are normal.
