Welcome to Pirate Battles!
Here is a tutorial to get you started.
READ EVERYTHING ITS NOT THAT LONG. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT!
1. First Steps:
Your goal is dominate your enemies and destroy them.
You start with a longsword and flintlock pistol. You have a tool to help you carry cargo.
Weapons, ships and cargo can be bought from various places of the map. They last one game session. ( Ships and cargo can be found again if you rejoin the same server)
You can buy a basic boat for free, find the button on the docks.
There are NPC Bots somewhere around the base, noobs like you can train on them. You get a little bit of money.
2. Combat
Bullets in this game have no travel time. Headshots deal more damage for guns. Every time you shoot you need to reload, unequipping will cancel it. Click to shoot.
Melee weapons can attack and block. Blocking can defend from an attack. (Hitboxes are accurate, swords have to touch each other.) Click to attack. F on pc/ Button on mobile to block.
Test your skills on the NPCS.
3. Setting sail, naval combat and the way of trade.
Ships can be found at docks all around the map. Some ships have green dots to place cargo on them.
Ships can be captured by enemy teams. There is no teamkilling at all in this game.
You can anchor your ship by pressing the buttons while on the driver seat. This prevents teammates from stealing your ship and running away. You can also kick teammates of your driver seat by activating the prompt. All of this is off course does not work on enemies or captured ships.
The timer at the top of the screen shots how much time until items are cleared from the server. (Anti-lag)
You can save your ships and cargo. Sit on your ships driver seat and store your cargo on that ship.
Buy cargo from the merchant post and carry it to the green dots on your ship. Unequip to drop them. Storing cargo only works on your ship.
Buy cargo from one trading post, travel to another trading post and then drop the cargo to the guy outside to sell.
Some ships have cannons. Activate their prompts to fire. There is no teamkill. Sit on the seats beside them to angle the cannons. Cannons have spread damage. Different cannons have different strength.
Dont crash your ships into anything or they will cause you trouble.
Ships sink when they reach 0 health.
Ship cannons can be used to destroy fort gates.
Forts can be captured for money. The team that owns the fort can close the gate to prevent enemies from entering. Off course you can stack cargo crates to get in but that is just a waste of money and can be ruined very quickly.
