When I rotate Part by at least 45 degrees and switch the tool, for example, to Move, it shows as if Pivot Of Move was not rotated at all (shown in the video below)
Only affects Move and Rotate tools.
This is very messing me working and I can’t properly move and rotate Parts in Roblox Studio, is there any solution for this?
It looks like you’re using world space coordinates, which means that tools will align with the global axes. You’ll need to toggle local space coordinates if you want to move/rotate relative to an object’s local axes.
Use Ctrl/⌘ + L to switch between modes when building. You can also find it in the context menu when you right-click in the world.
Here’s an image from the documentation that intuitively shows the difference.
I know this was a reply to another post, but I just want to say thanks for this.
For some reason, I couldn’t find how to switch to local ever since they made it so you had to toggle it.
I’m really surprised that it doesn’t have a dedicated button in the ribbon bar. I’ll make a feature request if it doesn’t show up in the pending overhaul.
