Place in Asset Manager Doesn't Open When Double Clicked

I just got on Roblox Studio and wanted to work on a place for my game. I opened the Asset Manager and double clicked on the Places folder. After that, I double, triple, quadruple clicked the place I wanted to open and nothing happened. I even tried creating a place and the output said “Adding Place…”, but the place never got added to the game. I was able to access my place and create new places this morning though. I am very confused and will highly appreciate any feedback. Thank you for your time!

Maybe restart studio? See if that works, fixes most issues.

I’ve tried restarting my computer but the issue still occurs.

I’m having the same issue here. Tried to open my place inside the Asset Manager and that didn’t work. I believe it was working fine yesterday though, so hopefully this gets fixed soon.

Same here… I think Roblox did something funny again.
Possible workaround: Go into your game, right click the place you want to edit in the asset manager and hit view history. This allows you to see the version history of that place. Open the most recent one and when it’s time to save, overwrite the previous place.

Sorry, I’m new and thought it would fit best in this section.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but that requires the “regular” role, which is unobtainable for most now.

You can PM @Bug-Support to report your bug.

well, i can’t reproduce this since it doesn’t let me make a new place as you said, but if this page shows an edit button for the place you can use that as an alternative for now i guess:

https://www.roblox.com/universes/configure?id=YOUR ID#/#places

or if that link doesn’t work configure your experience and go to the places tab:

same i was editing my tower defense game…

saem plz fix maybe roblox is mad at me for taking a break from studio

I have this issue to super annoying and didn’t fix after computer reset the only work around I’ve found is copying the id of place from assets manager and editing the new place from roblox’s website which directly opens to the place.

Nothing works for me. Not even the website. I’ve sent in a support ticket. They have responded asking for more information. I just sent it to them. Maybe they will get it fixed soon. There’s another thread on this topic in the scripting support forum.

Opened up studio this morning and I’m having the same issue -even after restarting. Studio was working fine last night.

Yup, having the same issue here. Started happening late last night for me, thought it was nothing. Of course this happens the day before I’m going to release a game.

bro let me work on my one piece game im having this happen too

We believe this is fixed now, if you restart studio. Please let us know if it still occurs on new studio instances.
