Play solo volume updates studio volume value, but change does not take effect

The play solo volume and the studio volume setting are connected.

Play solo: .3

Studio: .3

And changing one will also change the other, so if the studio setting is set to .5, the next play session will also have its volume set to .5.

However, even though both of these settings are linked as one, changing the volume in play solo adjusts the studio setting, but it does NOT take effect. This means if you set your volume to be 0 in play mode, you will still be able to hear it in edit mode, until you set the studio setting to 0 as well.

Expected behavior

I expect the play solo volume to change the studio volume, and also immediately take effect.

This has bothered me for way too long. I really hope that this gets resolved ASAP

How long have you been dealing with this problem, too?

I’ve had this issue too but never bothered to reproduce the steps. Thank you Joeberson.

I have been having this issue for years. I just thought Roblox Studio cached the volume upon startup instead of automatically updating (since I never thought to use the Main Volume setting in Studio)

Hi, we added a fix for this by separating the Play Solo volume and the Studio volume. It should make it so that if you change the play solo volume, it only affects audio from the play solo session, whereas if you change the studio volume, it will affect everything. Let us know if this doesn’t work for you!
