I created this player statistic GUI. I just want some feedback and that’s all.
I am providing a game link since the clip won’t upload.
Hello there! Just tried your game and I don’t really see any stat. GUI
Unless you’re speaking about this one:
It’s good in the overall, here’s things you could upgrade in my opinion:
- the “i” button is in the middle of the screen
- When I click on the “i” button to open th frame, it takes smth like 2 seconds before appearing.
- When changing team, it would be nice if the team change frame disappeared
I cannot really say anything else since there isn’t much to talk about but there is no error and it looks pretty good.
hey kiddo listen most of us need image not a link or model and as its a gui its a image always anyways now lets get to the ui.
The ui is too simple and too huge for just 1 team change button you created a gui the size of your mother (had to say it sorry) and gosh darn the font… that wanna make me rethink existance.
Anyways sorry but here
Fix the gui. Make it more pop out. There is a big image for the player maybe make it small. I love how you added the black shadow thingy in the text that I love. Try adding drop shadows. Make more buttons. Perhaps add a image background? thats all sorry for roasting a bit.
TL:DR
The ui is not good, make it pop, make avatar image small, add drop shadow, make more buttons, I like the text background really nice!
Please add images when doing creations feedback. Many people like me like to waste time writing stuff like this and dont have time to get the model and see it.
Thank you @Kolbxyz for pasting the image.
I suggest you to remove the white background or do something behind the player’s image and make it smaller.
add more buttons and decorations to the GUI because it looks too basic to be honest, I can’t say it’s bad because I don’t know how much time you spent to make it & how experienced you are but, you should make it less basic, add buttons & fix animations.
How are you getting robloxs water normal map? And are you saying you just have a transparent brick above the water with a decal on it of the normal? Then you add a light and it all works? I’d love to see a demo Roblox word I can download to take a more in depth look at this if you don’t mind because I don’t fully understand it.
Yeah. I forgot to change the position before positing it.
Yeah! I have never really been a GUI Artist but I understand your feedback. I made this in like 10 - 20 minutes so it’s a rough prototype.
I plan on adding more teams.
Please recommend a font as I suck with them.
I appreciate all the feedback!
I agree. Animations are rough and it’s basic. But like I said before, it is a rough prototype that I made in 10 - 20 mins but I also am not great with UI.
I am confused on what you’re saying here.
I was also wondering what other stats I could add.
Hey there, just went into the Testing Place. In my opinion, the GUI is pretty simple, has some minor issues and lacks certain things.
» I would first fix the BlurEffect only showing once when you click the “Info” button, it randomly disappears, and I don’t think you made it intentional.
» I would move the “Info” button to one of the sides, so it doesn’t interfere with the gameplay at all.
» I recommend you change the duration of the frame’s appearance when it shows, the popup takes too long to first appear, and I also suggest that you make the “Change Teams” frame disappear alongside with the “Info” tab (You could control that with “BoolValues” and their “Changed” signal).
» I would also add more things into the GUI, like displaying inside of it on which team the user is, so they don’t need to press the “Leaderboard” button or opening it with “Tab” to see their team.
» I would make the “Team Change” popup a lot more interactive with a new opening/closing animation, also changing its position so it doesn’t seem like it randomly appears out of nowhere (maybe placing it in the middle of the screen and above/below the main frame).
» I would also make a team change cooldown system so the user doesn’t abuse the ability to change teams that much (maybe 5-10 seconds minimum, depends on how your gameplay will be).
That’s all for now, you did a good with this UI and I hope you have my suggestions in mind. If you wish a demonstration of what I mean with all these things, you could reach me out by replying and I will happily help you develop the GUI for free!
Alright. I have made some changes. None really to the UI except for a few things.
- Icon Button
I fixed the position for the button to be in the corner and always to be like that. - Frame Speed
I sped up the frame a little but so it’s still clean. - Team Changing
I did a lot to this part. I started out by changing the text to an icon. I also completely revamped the UI for this section. I added a cooldown for the team switching (15 seconds). I am currently developing the team label so that doesn’t work currently. The Team UI is a lot cleaner now. The UI will now appear at the bottom and is much smaller. The UI also goes down once you change your team. I am going to start developing a timer to see how much time remaining of your cooldown after I complete the team name UI. - Frame Position
I changed the position of the frame for it to be at the top of the screen so the team UI could fit at the bottom
Once again, any feedback is appreciated.
