Players clicking ad, but not joining game

You can write your topic however you want, but you need to answer these questions:

  1. What do you want to achieve? Keep it simple and clear!
I wish to achieve players joining the game after clicking my ad.

  2. What is the issue? Include enough details if possible!
I have an ad with about 1% CTR and only like 1/30 players are pressing play.

  3. What solutions have you thought of so far?
I may need to get players into the game for more players to join.

After that, you should include more details if you have any. Try to make your topic as descriptive as possible, so that it’s easier for people to help you!

I’ve chosen the game design feedback as I would consider this under the “monetization” category.

Let me know anything that could help. Here’s the game link: Find The Jellybeans[50]

This is probably due to either

  1. Players don’t find the thumbnail attractive enough. In this case you should try to make a higher quality thumbnail or even hire someone to make one. Keep in mind that this is the first thing people will see after they load the game page.
  2. The ad is missleading. Players might expect something completely different and won’t join because of that.

Quick question, how much did you put into your ad? A simple reason that people weren’t joining because you aren’t getting enough clicks. This could also go down to, is your ad good? Would you click on your ad if you were a normal user? Make sure you put enough robux in. Putting in 500 won’t really do anything and It’ll give you a few players, but not forever.

Can you post the ad?
It’s harder to create traction than it is to maintain it. People may be clicking through, getting the impression it’s a social/competitive game, and leaving after they see no one is playing. It will be a hurdle to get a good number of active users.
Also, consider adding more images to your games’ page that showcases in-game screenshots and gameplay, like your maps and the models of the eggs. As it’s a “find my” type game, it would definitely help to have a rendered image of some robloxians having a fun time whilst searching for the jellybeans. Make the ‘action’ of the shot clear – they’re players actively hunting something, not just models standing in an environment

I think that the ad wasn’t relevant enough to the game, and so players didn’t know what to expect, plus, ads are now 13+ so the users seeing the game may be a bit more mature than what the game is aiming for.
