As a developer, it is currently hard to test certain updates which do not work in Roblox Studio. There are features I’d like to test before I use, for example Data Stores and the Teleport Service, which I’d have to test in an online server before I publish.
My idea is to create an option in Roblox Studio to play the game in a Global server, which would open up a server of the latest published version of the game. If there is not already a server, a new one is created.
With this feature, developers would be able to play in Global Servers with players playing through the Roblox Player app. It would benefit both players and developers by giving developers better chances to test their games and for players to be able to meet the game’s developer(s) and be able to report problems and ideas personally.
I understand features like the Teleport Service might be a problem, because a single Roblox Studio window only seems to support a single place at a time. But, I have only found more solved than created problems with this idea so I’m hoping it will at least be considered.
