Hello everyone!
I just launched my psychological horror game and would love to hear what you think. Whether it’s the gameplay, atmosphere, pacing, scares, or bugs. Honest feedback (good or bad) helps me make the game better.
If you have a few minutes to check it out, I’d seriously appreciate it.
i have playtested the game and i would like to say that: it is scary.
the atmosphere definitely fits, but i feel as if that if you were to at least add periods to the “monologues” that appear on the players screen it would make the game a bit more scary. it kinda broke the mood when that happened… otherwise great game!!
to be honest, i’m not exactly a master at getting players to play games. i feel like advertising would probably help, but if you don’t have the budget for that you could try to get an investor OR advertise it on social media.
this game is actually good, im not trying to be rude but at the beginning of the game you wrote “actually” wrong. and this game feels unoptimized, getting 60-90 fps on pc, would probably perform worse on mobile im not sure. those dissappearing phantom thingies are nice, they scared me.
Thank you for the feedback. I have never thought about optimisation but im gonna have to see what i can do to fix that problem. Im still not sure how I should get players tho I ve never been able to get players on my games.
Me and my friend tried it out. We got stuck after we encountered a bug with the lockers that teleported my friend outside of the map. In my opinion the Depth of Field and Environmental Specular Scale should be toned down a bit as they made it hard to navigate in the dark. Some things that might make the game better are turning off player collision and making the halls a little more narrower. Other than that the atmosphere is pretty good.
