Playtesting/UX Testing Requested: Promotion Game

Hey, everyone! I’m working on a game for the Nickelodeon promotion and I am running out of ideas for core features and I was wondering if there was perhaps something glaring that I was missing or that I just executed poorly. Please test my game here and give me some feedback, if you have the time!

Something to remember while playing is that the game is intended to be wacky. Thanks for your time!

A really neat game.
Can get a little frustrating when bouncing off other players and being flung backwards, but is great fun once you’ve mastered the controls.

Seems to be bug free aside from the occasional crashing at the end of a race.

Awesome, thanks! I fixed the crashing (I think).

“UX Testing”?

User eXperience.

  • I think you should add more direction, as in fancy shifting arrows that point to where the right way is.
  • The Symmetry map may be controversial, it looks like a penis.
  • Movement is great and smooth, it’d be cool if you TextLabel titled the yellow powerbar at the bottom, to tell me what that is. I had to guess what it was which is frustrating. Maybe “Air Power”?
  • It’d be cool and more responsive if you spawned a stretched arrow that points from your current location to where you clicked, it’d also help with how to play the game since I wasn’t sure what clicking did in the first place. Stretched arrow is just an idea, maybe a League of Legends kind of click-point animation.
  • I’m assuming the map is not done at all? It could really use some more STUFF, it’s really plain and empty. Maybe if you put the tracks on top of the middle, main building in Times Square, NYC, that’d be exciting. Or maybe one indoors, basically I’m saying to add more environment.

  • An arrow now points towards the correct direction to go at the beginning of the race. On my system, this is about the best I can do.

  • C’mon, really?

  • There’s now a label called “Boost Power: XXX%” and when the boost is under 0% it reads “Boost Recharging.”

  • With such a tight deadline, I was focusing on core gameplay, not aesthetics.

Well you should focus on aesthetics because those gui’s could really use some work

Very cool idea overall, I enjoyed playing

I don’t know how to gui. I never have. Someone please enlighten me.

GUIS need work is a terrible way of helping me by the way. I need specific details.
