The only way to add a Texture to a part is to Instance it into the part using Lua. Texture no longer appears in the object list when you try to directly instance one from the object panel.
As well as that, pasting a texture into a part causes the texture to reparent itself to workspace, instead of its original part.
It also seems to bind itself to the mouse like a decal does when you select one.

You mean like this?
You can put the Texture directly into the part from the object menu.

What I’ve found is that if you copy a texture and then paste it (CTRL+C, CTRL+V), it will then put the texture onto whatever face you click on next. ‘Paste Into’ really should be fixed, though.

Thank you for this workaround, I didn’t know this existed and it’s less effort than right clicking and messing around with the finnicky hover window that sometimes closes when you don’t want it to. Just ctrl+i, type tex with the left hand, and double click
