Hello there Infected!
To remove those dark gaps every few studs, you should try and play around with the Range and Angle in the light properties until the dark gaps dissapear. You could perhaps also try and change the Technology to a different type and which suits best for your build. I personally like the Technology set at Future and I think it would look great.
I would also decrease the Brightness of the lights and instead of making the lights just a Neon part I would make it look slightly more realistic. Here is an example:
