Personal opinion:
Based on my own experience I think you could use a purple background (fits for halloween stuff), you could try making it blueish so it fits as a complementary color.
About the content, I think since it’s a logo and not a thumbnail, a gradient like the one below should fit, probably add some sparkles or sunburst to it, and maybe some pumpkins on the down corners

Hello there. I have a suggestion for what you could add as the background. You could add a purple background with white bats scattered. I haven’t tested this so I don’t know what it looks like but it was the first thing that I thought of. Let me know how it goes and if you like my idea.

You could use a Purple background as it will give horror vibes from it.
