Always bothered me, never thought why noone did this feature request. SUPPORT!
There are people who actually do search for announcements regularly. Example: me, as I rely on searching announcements to figure out the release status of new features, as well as what APIs are introduced for what feature.
I don’t know if Discourse allows for this functionality. Is filtering the category in the advanced filters (mainly #development-discussion and #help-and-feedback in your case) not sufficient for what you want to do?
True, but I have things that appear in multiple categories. Why not just add a switch that includes announcements? Also you saw I search dancing and things no where close were included.
Bump. Still needed. This is still happening
I would like to add that maaaaaybe search should be functional at all??? Even searching for a specific announcement, it does not come up in search most of the time. And of course, searching for actual topics is impossible. The search functions is absolutely useless currently. Dont know if this is a Devforum or Discourse thing, but it should be fixed nonetheless. Searching for a topic in Google works fine though.
