When ever you search something on the dev forum. You expect like a bunch of things similar AND NOT 5 ANNOUNCEMENTS PAGES. Announcements pages have priority, even though they are not similar.

It is annoying.

Always bothered me, never thought why noone did this feature request. SUPPORT!
There are people who actually do search for announcements regularly. Example: me, as I rely on searching announcements to figure out the release status of new features, as well as what APIs are introduced for what feature.
I don’t know if Discourse allows for this functionality. Is filtering the category in the advanced filters (mainly #development-discussion and #help-and-feedback in your case) not sufficient for what you want to do?
True, but I have things that appear in multiple categories. Why not just add a switch that includes announcements? Also you saw I search dancing and things no where close were included.
Bump. Still needed. This is still happening
I would like to add that maaaaaybe search should be functional at all??? Even searching for a specific announcement, it does not come up in search most of the time. And of course, searching for actual topics is impossible. The search functions is absolutely useless currently. Dont know if this is a Devforum or Discourse thing, but it should be fixed nonetheless. Searching for a topic in Google works fine though.
I use google to search for something in the devforum instead of the search function inside of the forum itself because it’s way better at finding the relevant topics
Announcement posts should always be at the top because they will contain official information straight from Roblox. If you’re not finding the information your looking for, that sounds like a better algorithm is needed, not for certain posts to be buried.
When searching “How to dance,” three announcement posts show up. A whopping three. Stop the presses! In your video, you scroll down a little, scroll up immediately, and then scroll down again so the first non-announcement topic is slightly visible, then immediately cut the tape.
Also, dare I question your motives for searching how to dance? If you were looking for a specific topic, use more specific language, and make use of the very specific filters at your disposal. If you’re just looking for funny posts to read, three announcement posts you can scroll past in one swipe will not ruin your day.
Why are you bumping this under 24 hours since the last reply??
I can see if it’s related, like the first or 3rd announcement, but “Updating Experience Guideline Policies to Keep our Younger Users Safe”, has absolutely nothing to do with “How to dance”.
