As you can see I’m not using any low poly model or not trying to make cartoonish style. Because I’m not good at building or modelling stuff. So this is my one of my first serious builds and I have a way to go. I avoid repetetive models (trees, stone etc) and put some uniqueness ( I tried ) . I’m currently trying to create strategic enery tycoon something like that. My questions are:
Actually yes, but I mean didn’t use any mesh ( just used roblox parts) . Well you are a builder, you know better than me at this topic, can you give any feedback about this build to improve it.
My advice is to make the terrain a little smooth and use more the 2014 materials. also add another type of tree. And since is a simulator type game you should not use 2014 materials with low poly models since it looks… not good most of the time.
Also what exactly you do in the game? Chop trees down? you go fishing?
The main goal is creating a factory that gives a lot money and discover the best generator tech. The coreloop is make a factory → go to a mine → upgrade stuff with( upgrade tech lvl , unlock new generators coolers sources get boosts ) → prestige when you have a lot money. So, Ithink it’s detailed tycoon game (example: mint tycoon, tix tycoon)
Personally I think this style witch I like to call it “The roblox style” fits your game pretty well. I mean even if you don’t know how to use blender you can still make it look good with only roblox parts. Meanwhile if you go low poly if you don’t know how to use blender is gonna look kind of bad.
Overall, I think it is a solid map, but it kind of looks like it would be a map for a simulator or something. It does remind me of lumber tycoon 2 though.
