Plugin fix for importing textured meshes into blender

Roblox PBR Solution fixes any static mesh texture that is imported by OBJ from Roblox Studio into the Blender Software. The plugin is made to fix PBR textures that are in Roblox Studio by default.

It is 100% FREE.

Quick Info

What does it do?
  • The plugin itself connects the necessary nodes to the image textures you exported from Roblox Studio into blender. Blender the software itself cannot do this automatically for you unless you manually change it. This plugin is made to simply speed up the process, allowing you to fix models with Roblox made textures in seconds!
Is it safe?
  • Yes, it is safe. But don’t take my word for it. Try it out yourself! The code itself has no malicious actions inside of it. It is open source, so your are more than welcome to go poking around it when you download the zip file from the page. The plugin is written in the python programming language. His comments allow you to easily read out what everything does inside the plugin.

Example

In Studio Exporting Model or Part
  • Using a Simple Brick with a Roblox Texture for this example.

  • Go Ahead and export it as a OBJ using Export Selection → Export to file when Selecting it.

In Blender After Exporting
  • Go Ahead and Import the OBJ file that should have a .mtl with it when you export it.

  • Now When you import it the geometry wont be with the Origin so Make sure you go into Object → Set Origin → Geometry to Origin.

  • Now the Texture doesn’t look how you would like it. And that’s when we use the Plugin Above!

This is were I think you encountered your issue with the Textures being buggy out.

  • Now you can run the Fix It button, and after your done, the textures should work as normal.

This should Apply to any mesh you select!

The reason you might get this bug is because when you export models into Roblox. Roblox doesn’t Export the Color Map in its correct Position. Causing the coloring to be incorrect. I don’t fully know how Roblox Formats there models when you export them out of their engine. But you do need to jump through a few Loophole’s in order to fix it inside blender. It might be how MTL’s are exported out of Roblox. But I honestly would have to look more into it. But for now this is our easiest option in order to go from Roblox studio into Blender.
