Plugin For Building Faster

Ok so i have been wondering if anyone has found something like a plugin to build faster, rn making houses block by block is a bit frustrating so i wanted to aumate it.

Maybe something like SIMS 4 building editor

It would help a lot.

I haven’t seen any plugins for this specific task however there are some plugins that will help you complete tasks a little faster and do certain things easier.

Build Suite - https://www.roblox.com/library/260276858/Studio-Build-Suite
F3X - https://www.roblox.com/library/144950355/Building-Tools-by-F3X-Plugin

Well i think that i didnt specified that the useful about the idea plugin is to make cuts on walls faster to create windows and the holes for the doors or holes for the floors, or to place walls faster and in a more modular method.

Something like https://www.roblox.com/games/2482973153/The-Plaza-2-BETA
does

I’m not aware of any plugins themselves that do this, but I think a solution for you might be to build your assets such as walls, windows, roof parts, and more into separate models and use copy paste to construct a more “automated” building. Keep with simple increments to make sure they snap nicely in line and are tidy.

Yeah i have tried this in the past, works great depending on what kind of architecture you want, gothic for example is great for this or even medieval style, but modern style would look more monotone, but yeah great point.

Here are some things I use a whole whole lot to help me out. But, good building takes time, and patience. There’s really no way to rush good building, unless you have a team.

Stravant’s Model Reflect: https://www.roblox.com/catalog/217792838/Stravant-Model-Reflect
(^ reflects a selection across a selected axis)
Stravant’s Material Flip: https://www.roblox.com/catalog/166951203/Stravant-MaterialFlip
(^ useful for not having to rotate/resize parts to get the texture facing the right way)
Archimedes Two (Arc): https://www.roblox.com/catalog/144938633/Archimedes-Two-v2-4
(^ useful for precise angles)
Studio Build Suite: https://www.roblox.com/catalog/260276858/Studio-Build-Suite
(^ useful for weird rotations and movements, minimodelling, and more)
Powerfill: https://www.roblox.com/catalog/263865473/PowerFill
(^ Essentially Stravant’s Gapfill, but Gapfill is broken for me, so this works very well instead)

These are all tools I use quite regularly. I hope you have a good time.

I’m going to have to disagree with that statement, building gets easier depending on the plugins used. Builders need better modern more efficient tools though at least we’re no longer limited to the default tools so that’s a plus.

This task is rather tedious yet doable if assigned to the right programmer. however most of us are unaware of how some developers keep their plugins exclusive therefore it’s possible the plugin design concept has been made in the past just not released publicly.

I’d say this plugin to be replicated would be estimated at 25k-100k+ (or USD).

I might have a programmer doing this, he might release it in the future hes one of the best programmers i know so he will try hes best, but still im not sure wether if he will release it in the future, if he does i will update this topic.

The Sims editor has a lot of assets already preinstalled for the user to use. I think you should start making assets and props so that way they are there at your disposal, (like rocks and trees). You can also use textures for walls and floorings. I’d probably recommend that you mess around with Studio Build Suite and some geometry tools plugins so that you can get faster at building.

Diesoft has a tutorial on these plugins and explains in detail all the kind of shapes and techniques you can use in your builds.

Hey Helferich!

I think I mentioned this last time but if you wish to build faster, you’re going to want geometry plugins. The most important being (>RESIZE ALIGN<) because it snaps parts together with absolute perfection. You’ll be using this the MOST out of all the other building plugins out there, however I’ll present a list to you with a mini-breakdown for you.

List:

https://www.roblox.com/library/165534573/Stravant-ResizeAlign-Fixed
(You’ll absolutely use this for EVERYTHING)

https://www.roblox.com/library/217792838/Stravant-Model-Reflect
(You’ll use this when you want to mirror something onto the opposite axis)

https://www.roblox.com/library/165687726/Stravant-GapFill-Extrude-Fixed
(You’ll use this when you want to fill in a gap that would be impossible with roblox primitives)

https://www.roblox.com/library/344901609/Tomarty-Geometry-Tools
(This one is the jack of all trades, it has an integrated duplicate finder, and resize align in it (just less polished. I’ll tell you what, this might be better than SBS >Studio Build Suite<)

https://www.roblox.com/library/1223999426/Light-Editor
(This one is an absolute stunner, it creates icons to show you where ALL the lighting components are in your game, allowing you to create immerse worlds without having to basically go over every value by hand.

These are the BASIC essentials and will increase the quality of life when you develop in studio. I promise, if you take the MINIMAL effort to learn these…you’ll be capable of making anything with time.

P.S. there’s a lot more supporting plugins that you might be interested in, if you’d like to hear about more just let me know!

Goodluck and keep sweating! You’ll get there, just takes a bit of time. <3

You can script a plugin to do this I guess lmao. Definitely possible, look at bloxburg. There are no existing plugins that can do all of this but xd…

Besides, you might want to switch engine from roblox to blender maybe. There is very similar controls to that video. It is very hidden key-combinations but once you learn to use them all, you can build at a speed similar to theirs (un-fastforwarded)

F3x does help but, you could use build suite, for terrain, try the triangle terrain plugin as I find it great for modelling terrain! But, if you want something like The Sims™, then you want to script it yourself. Or ask a master scripter.
