As a Roblox developer, it is currently too hard to install plugins from the website.
Currently, one can install a plugin from the website by simply pressing the Install button on the asset’s page, however, when the button is pressed, the website attempts to open Studio again, even though it’s already open. This is an inconvenience because if there’s an update available for Studio, that means I have to restart the entire client because Studio won’t start unless it’s updated.
A workaround for this is by typing the plugin’s name in the Toolbox, but what if I’m browsing the website and I want to install it from there? Or if I’m browsing the Developer Forum and find a cool plugin whose creator posted a link to their plugin, and I have to halt my work just to install a Studio update?
Suppose there isn’t an update available. I would still have to close the extra window Studio made because I have no use for it.
If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience because I would have ease of thought that the website would check if Studio is already open instead of inconveniently opening a new window.
